So. Seeing as it appears to be the season for it, here is another to ponder.
Which player have we loved and lost only for them to come back and play for us again. Also did they come back better players.

I will start with Rick Thackery and a big fat No.

Greg Mackey - Good in his first stint even better 2nd time.

Dave Chisnall - had a second spell at the end of his career. Main memory 2nd time around was the try the scored against Bradford, running from own his half to sidestep his way to the line.

John Bevan - had a break and came back, had the odd game in the pack and , not the prolific scoring winger he originaly was

Greg Mackey went to Hull FC after playing about 10 games for the Wire he was never on the losing side culminating in winning the Lancashire cup. He played about 2 seasons for Hull before returning.

Paul Cullen had a liking for signing former Wires,

What was the name of that winger wo also played for Widnes and Wigan? Ended up in a bit of trouble. Name escapes me but he had two spells with us.

Did Myers come back? Only remember his poor stint for us 89/90 ish

Just the one stint, 4 starts, 2 as a sub. He went on to much better things for a while at Wigan. Strange, I was sure he'd played more games and that he had 2 stints with us.
