I really don't see wigan as contenders this year ( yes i know that could come back and bite me, but i doubt it)
Saints almost beat them twice, today saints were down to bare bones and almost won, funny how wiganers aren't mentioning that late hit on wheeler... imagine if it was ratty?
We made them look ordinary and lacking attacking ideas. they only drew against a poor leeds side.

I think that Nathan Brown could learn a bit from Royce Simmons with his conduct after the game. When asked about the Wheeler injury, Royce said it was for the powers that be to comment on it, not him. |

Long long way to go for all. It's far too early for these sort of comments, couple of key injuries, couple or poor performances and things change dramatically.

On the evidence to date Wigan, Saints, Wire, Hudds are the teams in contention. Saints probably would have won yesterday if an 'older head' had had the final play when Lomax(??) kicked pointlessly allowing Tomkins to win 40 metres. This is lack of experience reminded me of the similar (aimless) kick a young Chris Bridge made away at Saints a few years ago which gave them a last minute win via Long's drop goal.
