| Just throwing my 2 penneth in, but I really think tonight could be the defining start of an era for us.
IF, we win tonight, there will be huge monkey taken off our backs, and a someone else said before, if we get them again at home, their 'invincibilty' has gone.
I wont either take any rubbish from Stains fans who will say - oh but we didn't have XYZ in the squad...cos lets face it we always had a full squad when we played em, didn't we...
We CRUSHED the current League Champions at Wembley, so have now twice lost any tag that we can't live up to the big games, or beat the Top 3. So, from the mental aspect, this feeling of 'yes we can do it' will still be very strong amongst the troops.
Tony Smith will have enforced this in them as well, and lets be honest if Mr Smith said that I coud run through that plate glass window and it wouldn't hurt.....I'd believe him and I would.
Win tonight and there will not be a moments hesitation in the minds of the guys that we go all the way, the momentum of this will take us to levels we have only ever dreamed of, and 'belief and the belief of success' is a very very powerful ally.
Others, will fear us.
I really hope we can all look back in a few years time, and say 'remember that night at Knowsley when we did Saints, that was really when it all started for us....'
I have had the same feeling about this game as I had for the CC, and I believe it is now what's between the ears of our lads that will be the difference.
Now....there is the Wire....
See you there tonight.

| I can understand that tonight would be a massive win for you but it really started in the 1/4 final against Hull KR away from home for you guys IMO. A loss in extra time in that game would not have seen you win the CC last year and I don't think the team would have the confidence they do now.
Don't forget you have already won two massive trophies, if there is any sort of 'era' to come then it started last year. Surely one of the biggest parts of an era in sport should be the revival as that is the hardest stage.
The questions I have for Warrington is.... can they develop more young players? can they replace Briers and Morley when they retire? and... can they replace quality overseas players again and again.
As it stands I don't think wire are developing enough super league class young talent to sustain a top team for 5 years, this is the area they need to improve in the most IMO.

Is fking right!
For all those saving their money for supposedly bigger games to come - it's your loss when you miss THE night.

I agree, HKR away was a massive boost to our confidence.
This season we have now beaten Wigan and Leeds, if we were to beat Saints tonight and in two weeks time we will become the dominant force in RL for the coming years.
A bold statement I know but everything is falling into place. There is just one huge monkey holding us back.

| I said this on another thread, after beating Leeds in the manner they did, if the we could end the run against Saints, away, in a playoff game in the 1st choice squads first outing since... we'd be unstoppable.
Confidence is huge in sport and for this team, to overturn that run would see them all the way through to Old Trafford, for me.

No
It started as soon as Tony Smith walked into work on his first day here.
To quote him.. "we are only going to get better"

I don't believe that statement to be true because you don't know how much the rest will improve.
I can understand you are on a massive high but I think that is looking through wire glasses.

Wigan have been in the last 3 eliminators, the only way for you to improve is to make the GF.
