hi everyone, i have been reading this board for a long time now and have decided that i finally have something worth putting on here!.
Over the last few weeks i have contacted the club by both phone and in person at the club shop. My mission to find out if there is a coach traveliing to Quinns. I live 20 miles away from the ground so it is not easy for me to keep calling in.
My problem is i feel like i keep getting fobbed off, the first time i went in a lovely girl told me it was a bit early so come in before the Hull game, so i did as reccomended and a lad who is always in here, told me that they had no idea if there was or not, i explained i lived a while away and had trouble getting through by phone, all he was bothered about was that he was tired and had to work allday the following day.
I have booked a train since but i think this is a very poor service . To be honest i have asked a few times and the lad is never interested. Now i just need to buy a ground ticket but cant buy one of them online either.

What would i do ?
Take the lads name and ring up the club (not the club shop) or write a letter/email of complaint. People can only be trained/reprimanded if they[the hierachy] are aware of any issues with the ground staff. Personally i'd write in with your concerns underlining the problem and underlining how you expect to be treated rather than how you actually are.

On a slighty different note how do you think complaining to other fans on a forum, who lets be honest are far from complimentary of the club shop anyway, could solve this. There are many suggestion on many things rugby league related of which ocassionally the RFL or the individual club in question take on board but the majority are rarely even given a 2nd glance.
I'm still waiting for the half time naked pole dancing 'punishment' i suggested
When a player is fined the RFL send down a pole dancer and he has to pay it in £10 notes in her G-string until she has the full amount.

Thanks for yur advice, i was really looking to see if anyone else had trouble with such things a club travel etc.
As i stated i have been reading this board for a while and am fully waware that i will get numerous idiotic answers.

You tried or thought about going through either Coachmaster or The Original Stevo instead ?

I must admit I often think I would love to take over the shop and ensure a more efficient service! I suppose the whole Wembley thing is a bit distracting in their defence. However as the club gets more successful they really need to step up their customer service. I am afraid I have no advice but I guess a letter would help?

I went in the club shop the other day and to be fair to the lad and the rest in the club shop it was packed.And like myself they was probably cheesed off with the 1st time goers asking wheres the north stand,wheres the west stand,whats the hospitality package like,can I have a seat near the bar,whats wembley like,its my sons 1st game tonight.The list goes on .Not knocking any of the 1st timers coz we all was 1 at some piont.To answer the coach question.I reckon the club will have 1 or poss more and the details will be made available after wembley

Try the club website for stuff. OK, so its not brilliant and could be more supporter friendly but there is quite a bit of stuff on there.

IMHO I dont think the club will do a coach to Quins. It will have to leave Friday lunchtime at the latest and therefore there will be a lot of adult supporters unable to make it, so financially it might not "work"

My favourite subject. I live 130 miles from the ground and have no problem getting through to the club. I don't have any problem with the staff at the shop, they are always very helpful, my replica shirt has been washed at least 20 times and is still as good as new, the gatemen are always OK with me, especially when I rip out the right part of my season ticket. Am I just very lucky, or is it that I am easily pleased? How many more threads like this can we have?

congratulations for living so far away, your medal is int he post. I have explained to the lad in question since that it is not a personal thing against him or the shop. It is the only time i have ever had a problem with the service.
And yes i think you are lucky apart from living thatfar away must cost you a fortune in travel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for me it all comes from the top down, ian powell the bloke incharge of the club shop has no idea of customer service, as ive identified on numerous occasions.

He is also a saints fan and openly admitted in the club shop he wouldnt be seen dead wearing any warrington merchandise.

If he doesnt take any pride in what he doesand obviously isnt passionate then why should his staff be?
