| Just putting it out there, obviously great to win and go to Wembley (again) but it doesn't feel like 2009 did to me. I guess this is what success feels like. Superb performance by the Wire in any case.

| Scoreline and opposition to blame. If we'd have beaten saints, Leeds, Wigan, hull etc in a game similar to 09 I think it would feel just as good as last year.
For me the whole day was different. Didn't feel like cup semi week all last week. No pre or post match banter today and a whitewash score.
Still I'll take this feeling every year!!!

| the opposition wasn't as good but all the wire fans singing from the west, north and east stands made it special cos it means so much. we're singing to the
end and everyone stayed to clap the team off all the way around the ground. that's what makes a game- when everyone cares. so proud to be a wire
cos all the fans- the old shed end with joerde banding the drum and getting everyone going in the east stand, west stand massive singing and north stand where
i was sat- joining in with the both sides.
COME ON WIRE

| Interesting question, it's very difficult to look at the 2009 and 2010 Cup runs in isolation, so comparing the two is inevitable. The 2009 cup run got going once we'd avoided the potential banana skin at Fev (fairly comfortably in the end), then there was the excitement of the E/T and Briers' drops at HKR, followed by the big game performance we'd been dreaming of for years against the old pastry-encrusted enemy in the semi. 2010 has had less to excite the imagination - the demolition of HUdds was impressive but no contest, Bradford put us under pressure in a tense game that we nearly threw away, and today was a walk in the park and we're back there again already.
So as we prepare for Wembley again so soon after the last visit, are we as excited this year? Perhaps , or perhaps not. Given that we're in a much better league position and still with a great chance of the GF, that also may dilute the 2nd Wembley experience.
But Wembley 2010 is still important: There's always emphasis on how well the current holders of any cup get on, and to lift a cup two or more times in a row is a great achievement and one that we should aim for (have we ever done it before?) . Also, the oppo this time round are bigger, so in some respects this is a much tougher test and chance to prove ourselves against one the 'big four' in a final. Also they'll match our support in terms of numbers and noise, unlike Hudds last year (one of the factors that helped us win last year I thought). Leeds will be hungry for it too given they've not been to Wembley for a while, and cos of their poor league form this year. Therefore vital to show that it means just as much to us too. COME ON THE WIRE.
anyway just a couple of thoughts 'FWIW'.

| I must admit to me it really doesn't. I'm delighted that we are there again, but it was so special last time round that I have struggled to get as excited.
It is the only success I have ever seen us have after watching warrington for around 16 years, never missing home or away, and as strange as it sounds now that we have finally won something I can't get as up for any game anymore.
Bizarre!!

| I am totally up for this final when i cant get up for a final will be time to pack in i think. Is this not what its all about. I do agree the highliights for me during the rounds has been the fans. The atmosphere at hudds all the coaches to bradford and yesterday to see the ground full of wire fans was fantastic. Cant wait to get to wembley going to see wot the cues are like shortly. So excited i could wee myself
The trip down and stopping at the services and hopefully loads of friendly banter lets hope the team are up for more than u miserable lot
Cum on the wire

| I think we're looking at a reversal of 2009 v 2010. The semi final was full of emotion last year and you were left with a sort of 'hollow' feeling final. This time round, given the opposition, lack of atmosphere etc the semi final was a similar feeling to the final, great result, some great rugby but not the sort of raw emotion. I think the final will be a pulsating encounter and the intensity between the fanbases etc will make it the occasion that we all crave.

| I'd agree it doesn't feel the same but I think last year was a surprise and the whole cup run from the Golden Point to the fantastic semi-final made it special.
And I also agree that I think it will be the reverse this year with the final being special.
The other reason it doesn't feel quite the same on a personal level is that I can't make the final....so I am delighted but sort of gutted too.

| Last year was the end of a 19 year wait to get to Wembley, so the emotions, especially the relief/joy when the final whistle sounded v the Pies, were an absolute high. It was never going to feel the same going back just one year later. The final this year will be another matter: playing against the team who have dominated the SL for the last few years, a full house, and the chance to be the first ever Wire team to retain the challenge cup - that would be real history. For those of us who were there to see us fail to do this in 1974 and 1975, there's an extra dimension.

| Think this years semi was a little flat for the build up etc. Last year was extra special as it was 19 years since we went to Wembley. The atmosphere at this years final will make up for that though with it being against Leeds

| Doesn't feel the same as last year. In 2009 it was the 1st time we had got to a final since 1990 so it was all new, exciting & to be honest unreal as we had been crap for so long & lets face it last year we were generally poor (hence our league position).
This year feels more expected, like we deserve to be there.

| I don't think anything could top last year, it was like an enormous emotional weight off my shoulders after thirty years of pain. The dynamic has now changed and I can now enjoy the success.
