| Which Warrington youngster/fringe player (has a 1st team squad number) has the brightest future with our club:
Cooper – Seems to have stagnated after last years excellent end to the season
Neal – On loan @ Salford
McCarthy – Not had much of a look in this year. Although, appears to have impressed @ leigh
Mitchell – See above. Seems to be included in the squad more than Tyke.
Williams – Seems to have moved up to our 3rd choice winger
Thompson – 3 hookers ahead of him in the squad. Hard to push for a place
Penny – Rumours of a departure at the end of the year
My money would be on Mitchell. Discuss…….

| Cooper for me. He was brilliant back end of last year but hasn't had a long run in the team yet. I think his last 2 performances have been his best this year and he'll hopefully push on from that.
It must have been hard for him getting nowhere near the team after last season and that may have hit his confidence in his own game.
Wirefan: I think the OP excluded Ben as he is now a first team regular, infact probably one of the first names in the 17.

| It was why i excluded Harrison. Established 1st team player now and could be a future England player depending on if he wants to change international team similarly to Bridge

| Brightest future in the game I would say Kevin Penny, but given that people reckon he's leaving the club I'll go for Mike Cooper.

| Harrison has already swapped allegiances to England - he was in the training squad for last year's 4 Nations and many were surprised he was left out of this week's squad...

| Mitchell I don't rate, he comes on and goes hiding... Perfect example at Salford! Not good enough for SL IMO.
Cooper is in poor form at the moment, needs to build some confidence from somewhere but no doubt he's SL quality, even if not at Warrington, like he was at Cas earlier this year.
Penny I still would rather have him pushing Riley for a spot if not taking his jersey, wingers are try-scorers, his record speaks for itself. Are people more scared of a Penny or Riley kick-chase, kick-return, space down the wing, etc? Riley's mistakes at Salford; now imagine Penny did that? Crowd reaction, completely different.
Thommo, not seen the lad in Wire stripes, give him time and let's see how he develops...
Williams I'm not a fan of based on what I've seen so far... Once again only time will tell but personally I'd rather have Penny still.
And Neil, I've not seen much of him but I would be keen to see how he gets on at Salford, good luck to the bloke, heard great things...
So Penny for me but unfortunately TS isn't a fan by the looks of things!

| Ive been dissapointed with the progress of Mike Cooper, he looked the real deal last year but i`m not sure whats happened between then and now.
I`m not convinced by the likes Tyrone McCarthy and Lee Mitchell, i`m not sure either has a big future here. I know they are young but i just don`t see any sign of the X factor with them.
Matty Blythe has been a huge dissapointment, he had so much potential with his size and pace but SL at the highest level looks beyond him.
I`d say its down to the next crop of youngesters to provide us with possible future stars, other people will know a lot more about them than me. From what ive read Rhys Evans seems to be top of the crop and possibly Alex Thompson, other than that i don`t know much more about our younger brigade.

| ive been impressed by rhys williams, he has a good tackle tenchinque and is quick(fastest on the speed test) he can play wing or centre which gives us more options and he aint really bin caught out when he has played for us this year only saw him a couple of times each for 1st team and under 20's so the people who watch the under 20's regullary can probably give a better analysis than me

Easy one to answer. Lack of game time and consistency playing. Just like Harrison was pre Smith coming in and playing him every week.

| In 5 years time you could be looking at a team something like
1. Burke
2. Riley
3. Atkins
4. Bridge
5. Williams
6. Grix
7. Myler
8. Cooper
9. Thompson
10. Harrison
11. McCarthy
12. Mitchell
13. Blythe
14. Neal
15. Hulme
16. Tahraoui
17. Evans
That without the overseas & national signings that we have become accustomed to...

| Cooper has been given a big chance with Carvell out for a while and wood getting injured and he has played poorly. In a squad game when you are given a shot you have to bust a gut to try and make it impossible for the coach to drop you for the next match and he hasn't done that. And in my opnion his defence looks seriously suspect for a prop.

Cooper performed well for us last year and that was with a lack of game time and consistency in playing, this year he has probably started more games in SL than last year with him having a spell at Cas. Like someone pointed out above, he`s had a big chance to shine with Carvell and Wood having spells out but he doesn`t seem to be performing to the level of last year when he`s made our team.

Interesting that you mention Tahraoui there, not seen him turn out for either the 18s or 20s this season. Is he injured?
