I am interested in hearing how you think the Wire will do next season. The Challenge Cup victory and the big signings will have raised expectations no doubt, but how high do you think Smith can take you? There have been teams in the past who have won the Cup then failed to transfer it into SL despite high expectations.

A home tie in the first round of them play offs will do for me, so I supppose thats top six. As for the cup, its unrealistic to think we've got a better chance to win it. We had a lot of luck in the QF, SF and the final itself so my usual expectation of making the semis will do for now.

top 4 without a doubt is what we should be finishing in, even top 3. hopefully defend the challenge cup.

Some people will do anything to talk the club down; win the challenge cup (beating three of the top six, all away from the Halliwell Jones, on the way) and its all down to luck.

No, im sure most saints fans beleive that but no. For two games a season, (apart from the odd cup draw) i despise your team with the hatred my Grandad had for Hitler but you dont make or break a season for us.

I will settle for 1st in the league . Win the Grand Final and the Challenge cup . Nobody should except medeocrity and be happy about it . We will have a top notch squad next year and Smith will have a pre season with the players so no excuses next year we must have a clean sweep !

We need to be pushing for the 4, to give us a good chance of doing well in the playoffs.

Like most of the easily pleased on here I would settle for a Challenge Cup win and a very poor 10th place finish in SL.

Not often i agree, but damn right. Why are people hoping to finish 4th or even 6th? As i have stated before, we have a squad i wouldn't swap for anybody elses and a coach who is as good if not better than anyone else in SL. I fully expect to be at Old Trafford next october and that should be the mentality of all fans and players alike.
