| No thread on him, so thought I would start one.
Bottom line in my opinion.. If Smith can get him fit and regularly interchanging with Louie Anderson, we could have a truly superb weapon!
How times have changed. Signing Solomona a few years ago would probably have been seen as a major signing... Now, almost like signing an un-kown and no one is really bothered.

| We won't have paid him that much, he could be an absolutely inspired signing. He has to be the best ball playing forward in SL. Get him fit and tell the halfbacks to follow him.

Yeah, Myler and Mathers could be in for a try fest next year.

| Will be very interesting to see how he settles in. He will replace the offloads of Rau and hopefully show a lot more sense

| It is only this season that his fitness has been poor. His previous 5 seasons he has played at least 20 games a season.

Dead right.
Could well turn out to be an inspirational signing by Tony Smith.

Next season he could be the best out of all of them just like Hicks was.

| Potentially your best signing if he can stay fit imo. He's a magician of a ball player and i reckon Smith will get the best out of him and most importantly get him motivated enough to stay in good shape.

| Solomona isn't going to be playing 80 mins every week. As a weapon off the bench he could be dangerous and sometimes unplayable. If fit it could be a masterstroke by Tony Smith.
What he will need is players aroun him who can support.
Hopefully in Myler we will finally have a good support player that we have been crying out for.

| I think you're right. Off the bench he could be devastating.

| David Solomona at his best is one of them rare players where if he was starting from the bench the crowd noise would noticeably rise in anticipation of him coming onto the pitch, when fully fit he is the type of player that changes games. He is the type of player that would raise the spirits of his team mates as well at the sight of him warming up.
I can`t remember the last player we had starting from the bench that would raise the noise levels of the crowd in anticiaption that he was about to come on, Solomona would have that effect.

Although different positions, he is going to be like Big daddy for Hudds where the away fans know things will happen when he gets onto the field. Looking forward to seeing him at the HJ.

| Anyone know if he counts on the quota? Or is he just classed an overseas trained player?
