Wish he had spoke at the Town hall doesn't get the praise he deserves imo

i know it really winds me up because doug hoyle does nothing and gets his face in everything!

Maybe he doesn't seek publicity and prefers to enjoy the success with other fans rather than get his ego massaged by taking the credit in public

Douggie actually managed to raise a smile today, surprisingly enough. Took a while though. He looked miserable as **** when getting on that bus.

I too wish Simon Moran had addressed the crowd and taken some applause.

By all accounts a very shy man when it comes to the cameras.

I know that the way he goes about things is just like a fan like him being in the south stand every game and thats great but I just feel he deserves to get more praise a chant of theres only one simon moran would be good at the last home game.

I agree. This club isn`t a business venture for him (like most other owners of clubs from all sports) it`s a passion. We would not be where we are today without him, even though there`s more pieces to the Wire jigsaw.

Then why doesnt everyone thank him on here? We all know he or at the very least people close to him reads it so this is just as good right? I for one feel extremely fortunate to be a fan of the team during the time i have been. The "moran" era as i shall now and ever more refer to it has been fantastic, and he hasnt just helped to save the club but has helped us make history.

For that Mr Moran i thank you.

Can you imagine if the Pies had won we wouldnt have been able to get Ian Lenagan of the mike, out of the papers, speaking at fans forums.........

i agree last game a big shout for him is must just a simple Moran Moran give us a wave.A long with Monas Monas give us a smile

The first time I heard him speak was last weeks RL Extra. For a minute I thought he was being serious when he said that he was going to reduce his involvement with the club. He sounded like a fish out of water on the air and I think he prefers to leave all the media stuff to Gatcliffe and his sexy stadium.
He is no doubt a major factor in us lifting a trophy for the first time in 18 years.

Have you ever heard Moran speak. He is less than articulate.

That's not a criticism just a fact. He is not a confident speaker which is very strange for a successful businessman.

Ian Lenagan however is very comfortable when speaking in public.
