We aren't desperate to get him in the team. We shouldn't be looking to change the team for the sake of it anyway.
He is returning from injury, played 80m in the reserves, and should come into contention during the next fortnight IMO.

Rubbish.
I bet as such, the deals were two seperate entities only linked by value, ie, Gleeson to Wigan, £100-120k, Mathers to Warrington £20k, knocked off the £120k, so just £100k. Had Mathers not joined Warrington, It wouldn't have impacted on the Gleeson transfer.
Obviously all values made up. If you think Smith would just 'take a player' that he's not too fussed about having, your daft. Everything he has done since his arrival has been about shaping this team to become 'his team'.

after watching penny for the reserves yesterday i cant see him being in the first team for along time.
mathers didnt do much either. two passes that went straight into touch.he shouted alot. just back from an injury so needs to get abit of form back maybe. |
