Any truth in Paul Wood being sacked on Friday, due to clash of personality with new conditioning and fitness coach.?

He was on social media at his 'leaving party' over the weekend. Not sure what has gone on tbh.

Word is he has likely been offered a 2 year deal elsewhere.
Wire had offered him only one.

Like Carvell last season, it seems TS may have taken issue to this and he has been released.

Surely if it was/is about contracts this would of already been dealt with before squad numbers were announced.

He contacted Wigan himself about a move at the weekend but was told that Wigan aren't interested as they have better options. Not sure if that will change with Pettybourne leaving suddenly.

But for sure the club have released him from his contract whether it be requested or not.

If he has gone, then that is a pity because he has been in the squad for ? 14 years. But last season he looked all of his 33 years and unless he has found some magic pills, I suspect this would have been his last season anyway. From the clubs point of view it should provide Ben Evans with plenty of incentive to build on his strong showing last year, and with Asotasi pushing Chris Hill to be our number one prop, we look fairly comfortable in the front row - barring an injury run.
