It's a shame we can't just enjoy our great game without existential crises about whether it 'means' anything or not.

We've seen some terrific games this season, and yet the conspiracy theorists on here would boil it down to 'meaningless' or a warm-up to the main event.

Equally, we've heard all week how the play-off system makes the game 'a farce', and how the first round of the playoffs is meaningless.

And yet tonight's game has been played with great intensity, even if the quality hasn't always been there. I think there'll be some terrific games this series, let's try and enjoy them.

Expected more from Hudds tonight, got into a battle with Wigan so far.

I appreciate it wasn't their fault, but after the sycophantic treatment Huddersfield received on Boots n All this week I almost wanted them to fall apart tonight. If the same happens again next week some people at Sky are going to look pretty silly!

funny how wigan have performed like a championship out fit for there last half a dozen league games yet pull this performance out the bag tonight..perhaps they did get it right in opting for huddersfield rather than playing us..does make you wonder

What a great concept that Dream Team is.....

Thing is, it doesn't matter what rubbish Sky spout, next season they'll be back saying more of the same regardless of how wrong they've been. They could go on there and read extracts from Mein Kapf and keep their jobs, it seems no one in the Sky hierarchy actually listens to them or cares what the fans think.

Wigan played well tonight. McIlorum was still poor though, despite what Stevo was saying. Missed tackles all over the shop.

Danny Brough got found out after 20 minutes of tonights game. He's been exposed time after time when playing against us, and tonight the penny finally dropped for the Sky commentary team. He can't play when put under pressure.
the hudds pack was also poor tonight. Were Crabtree and Lunt injured, because they were hardly on the pitch?

No where near as bad as the man of steel elect though .
