With the young lads stepping up and coming back with a result from the toughest away game we could possibly get after a challenge cup final, what team would you put out?

I think now is the perfect time to give Chris Hill some well deserved R and R. I'd give Gids and Sandow another week or so off as well. no point rushing them back as far as I', concerned.

Johnson

Russell
T. King
Atkins
Penny

Ratch
Patton

Bailey
Clark
Sims
Currie
Hughes
G. King

Dwyer
Cox
Julien
Wilde

I know Jullien is a centre/2nd row but I've included him as I think bringing G. King off would allow Currie to drop back into the 13 position with Julien filling in at 2nd row. Currie has a good pair of hands and would give us the same type of game the missing Westerman would usually provide. Introducing that kind of game in the 2nd quarter could blow a tiring Widnes pack away.

I think if you asked Chris Hill if he wanted a week off he would turn you down.

I do think that this is probably an important a game to win as any we have played so far this season. Win and we can react to whatever happens at the Hull v Pie game. Hull win then we can rest a few for the game against Wigan in prep for Hull the week after. Wigan win then we go full strength against them the following week and if we win we have the LLS and an opportunity to rest a few up prior the the Semi the week after.

I think if you ask any player they'll turn you down. Everyone want to play every game but it's not up to them is it? If a half Academy side can do the business there's no reason a side with a good handful can't turn Widnes over. A team of fresh legs against team who had a massive game last week and who have very little squad depth.

The backs and halfbacks probably pick themselves effectively. Unofficial word has it that we will be lucky to see Gidley and Sandow playing again this season, with one of them possibly being ready for the semis. The forwards also will probably be similar to Catalan with Dwyer starting and Mrorgan Smith back up. Cox took another head knock in Perpignan so is unlikely to figure. Philbin was a travelling reserves so may be on the bench, together with Wilde and Bailey who for me did a good stint against Les Cats. Julien, why has he been out of favour after such a good start to the season?

Why do you say this Pal? Because TS is quoted in the LE that both will play again his season

I really do hope we give Dodds the benefit of the doubt and give him a year. Hill, Sims, Dodds, Cooper and Bailey. What a mouth watering starting front row and bench that is!

I hope he is proved correct !. It's not what I understand though, I don't always believe what I read in the LE.
Dodds unlikely to play again for Warrington, and Bailey next year? Props could be an issue for next year with the loss of Ben Evans as well.

Hill, Cooper, Harrison, Sims, Bailey, G King only 4 can play. Not heard anything on Dodds leaving and/or contract extension.

I think this lot would do quite well.

Why can only 4 play? 2 starting and 3 on the bench = 5 out of that lot it would be Bailey and King fighting between themselves for a shirt.

Harrison I'd let go. It's time for him to move on. I'm convinced Dodds will be here next season. That's what I've heard on the grapevine anyway.

I've no doubt george would disagree with this, but i think he's played too much for his age over the last two years, he could do with a season of being an occasional sub.

He's a young lad with a lot of years ahead of him. I'd hate to see him fizzle out to nothing through not being looked after properly. Something I think will definitely happen to Bateman.

Heard from a reliable source that Bailey is definitely going at the end of the season and likely Harrison will also be leaving.
