We fell apart after two of our players went off injured, up till then we had Wigan down and out in my opinion. We seemed to just lose everything at that point and that coupled with Wigan getting their act together and finishing off those plays, we had no chance from then on.

Not ashamed. I feel that had we kept our 17 fit then we'd have won. 3 challenge cups, 1 league leaders shield, and 2 grand final appearances that saw us leading for the majority of the game in the last 5 years is nothing to turn your nose up at, and anybody who does wants their head checking. We'll do it in the end, until then keep on laughing.

Monoghan was injured when wigan were attacking wires line, position they had because of dumb rugby from warrington when they went 16-2 up. They then score in the opposite corner, something which the monoghan injury had no direct effect on, they had a good 6 minutes to re-organise the defence. If wire stay solid in defence and go in at half time 16-2 up, they probably win the game.

I know the injuries were tough but they aren't the sole reason warrington lost. They invited wigan back into the game when they shold have been adding the final nails in the coffin.

I'm in no way saying it was the only reason. But an injury like that does affect play, it's a break in play over 5 minutes where you're stood around, and yes we should have stopped them, but even at 16-6 ahead we would have won I think. I did say that our injuries coincided with Wigan finally getting their plays sorted properly which didn't help matters. Had we had Ratch and Monas on the field we would have still been kicking them to death and not having to swap players out of positions.

To be brutally honest, even before Monaghan's injury the scores could've been pretty much level had Goulding and Charnley got their act together earlier.

I've really enjoyed the Wigan v Warrington rivalry of recent years, it made that victory all the more sweeter. I don't know how competitive Warrington will be in the coming years but I do hope both teams keep up their standards so that the rivalry can continue.
