| Watching the match again I got to thinking that there was much to admire in the opening try;
We had the confidence to offload, but Leeds didnt.
Then Chris Hill taking the ball in a bit of space, but rapidly changing direction to wrong foot their defence. The consistent yardage he has made all season seems to be down to the way he sidesteps to find small gaps in the defence.
Then when Myler gets the ball, who should turn up on his left but Hodgeson. His field placement and timing have been amazing all season, he just seems to know where the ball is going to be. He tried to give Myler space and options by shooting left.
Then the vision by Myler to see Joel in space. That was simply superb, because it was not just the move, but the fact that he executed it perfectly in a cc final in front of a massive crowd. And you had to think that he can replicate in years to come.
I think that try will stay in my memory for a long time, and I regret voting early in the best try competition now.

| A few people had their doubts about Myler particularly in the big games, but he really showed his maturity on Saturday & for me like a lot of our players had a good game.

| Being left out of Playoffs, Finals and not being called up for Internationals has actually been an advantage in the end as he's matured and improved his game.

Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!: |

| If you watch very closely, Hodgson says something to Myler just as he goes past him. Watching a replay it looks like Hodgson spots the gap behind the Leeds winger. It all happens so fast, whether it was Myler who spotted it or Myler who acted on Hodgsons call, it was a superbly executed play. Personally i though Myler should have been closer to Brett in the Lance Todd vote than he was. The lad had a cracker.

| With Myler being dropped for the last CC final, he played like he was giving a big F U to TS, not the TS would have been bothered.

Don't think so.
So every time he gets dropped by Tony, he comes back & has a good game. Just to get back at Tony. He's a bigger player than you think.

Interesting observation. I would love to know if he did say anything. If there are any club officials 'lurking' on here, perhaps we may find out at some point ?

| Maybe i was a bit base or crass in the way i've articulated it, it's the morning.
I don't mean in an aggressive way, like Myler has pulled a face and gone ner ner na na ner ner, but fired him up to say "i'm undroppable and to prove it i'll show you what you missed"
From what i've seen TS and Myler have a very good relationship, Myler gives the impression he treats him like a bit of a father figure.
As you'll have read i've been one of the very very few on here who hasn't stuck the knife in on Myler because i think he's a quality player, i found myself defending him over countless posts to the contrary.

| From far away at the other end I had naturally assumed it was Briers who kicked that. A moment of absolute top quality from Richie.

| We all know what Myler did in 2010 & the reason for being dropped for the final in 2010 & it was nothing to do with his playing form.
That is all in the past so he should now find a regular place on the team.

| I think the tackle he made on Kirke was? It was just as good as any other tackle made on saturday.
Westwood put a hit in on Bailey around the 10 min mark which was a cracker as well.

Yes, for all those that missed it, look at 12 minutes, 18 seconds. The tarts drink inspects the Wembly turf, curtesy of Ben.

| That hit on Hardaker, which forced the drop out was huge! Don't think anyone expected it!

| My 2 favourite moments of the match, The first try with the perfectly weighted (Briers esque) kick to Joel to score and the tackle on Hardaker to force the drop out when it looked like Leeds had just escaped it.
Those 2 moments alone were enough to win the Lance Todd if Brett didn't recover from the KL tackle so well and finish the game off with his try also
