While Russell was ok last week, his skills are carrot the call in hand. Brough often pulls us apart with his kicking game, and Russell has previous of being somewhat clumsy defending kicks in behind him. I’d at least be putting a lot of focus on that in training, if not considering a change for a more reliable winger option.

Memo to Super Ben, if we're only 4 points behind on the last play & we're in their 10 with numbers over on the wing don't go for glory down the middle, instead get the ball out wide.

Also don't let Brough kick us to death, but when he does get his kicks out make sure our kick return is good.

Didn’t get to see the pre-season games live but on the highlights Mitch Brown looked above average. Russell didn’t have the worst of games last week, I just hope he can cope with Brough’s grubber kicks to the corner. It’s a known weakness of Russell. On the other hand he does make some good yards from dummy half if he can catch Huddersfield cold.
