I've never had Riley down as being anything other than solid. I don't remember ever seeing him make a mistake and his try at Bradford last season is something very few players could do. Has he ever had a prolonged spell at fullback?

Dropping a high ball is always going to happen to every player on occasions, I've seen Billy Slater drop a bomb and I've seen Lockyer and Inglis do likewise. However when a player does it as regularly as Mathers does you have to wonder. He made the error which ultimately cost you the game, but how many did he let bounce tonight?

Mathers is good enough to play in our team. He was the best thing since slice bread when we won at Wembley. Its a team game and everyone who played last night deserve a pat on the back for a great game ( NO THANKS TO SILVERWOOD ). Its unfortunate that when a fullback makes a mistake its punished and noticed more. Ive watched Chris Riley come through the ranks at Wire and hes improved 200 % since he started and its testiment to him the coach and club that we have a player who can play in a number of positions and play them well.
