| Signed for 3 years.
Splits opinion on here, I'm not sad that he's going, I think Wakey is a good level for him but I thank him for the memories, the funny episodes and the silverware.
Another one I'll applaud when he returns.

| Great player when he puts his mind to it, although prone to the occasional costly brain fart

Very good player, but a very immature individual.

| Wish him good luck and thank him for his efforts. The try he scored in the play-off semi final at Saints is a particular high-light and should ensure a decent reception whenever he comes back. Does this make the Johnstone signing more likely? Or will we cover Tommy with what we already have?

| I think he’s better than where Wakefield are currently at, but I also think he’s not consistent enough or maybe good enough value for money for where we want to be at Warrington. He’s served us well though, and I’ve enjoyed his time with us. Best of luck.

| I also think if Johnstone coming here was going to happen it would have been announced at the same time. Maybe the club don’t want to pay through the nose for a player with such an injury record. He’s a great talent though.

| As a professional player, i think Lineham is the polar opposite of what Darryl Powell will want from the players.
I recall Lineham saying once that of all the coaches he has worked with only Price "got him", which possibly says as much about Price as it does about Lineham. Still, good on his day and a character - dressing room will be a lot duller without him and Mamo.

| Wish him well, I think he's been a really good signing for us. I'm a little surprised that he's gone to wakey to be honest, but I think he will do well for them and be a popular signing.

| I agree overall he's been a decent signing apart from the recent avoidable missed games. A bit like Hill it's also probably about contract length hence Wakefield as opposed to Leeds or FC

| I'm always happy when he is on the field for us. Unfortunately he isnt on the field often enough for a winger, due to a combination of brainfarts and (I think) him sometimes getting an extra game or two ban on reputation rather than on merit.
Best of luck to him.

| He's currently the best winger at our club. If we don't replace him then we're a weaker side next season.

Do you seriously think he is better than Charnley?

Undoubtedly, I thought he was going to Leeds from an earlier comment of his but 3 years was probably too good to pass up. I like TL, and wish him well.

He's a good finisher, quicker than he looks over distance and brings the ball out very well. As others have mentioned his disciplinary record for a winger is shocking and means he misses a fair few games each year for incidents that were unnecessary. He's scored plenty of tries for us and has been our highest scoring winger, but benefits greatly from playing on our left alongside Widdop, Currie & King for both his try scoring opportunities and defensively.
Charnley doesn't get the service Lineham gets and I think the lack of tries he's scored in the past 12 - 18 months has knocked his confidence. Defensively he's making some poor reads at times, but I think playing outside Mamo & Austin doesn't help him in that regard. He also has an infuriating habit of playing for a penalty by trapping in defenders, which rarely works anymore and only serves to slow our ruck speed - something the fans get pretty frustrated about.
Lineham has certainly looked the better winger over the past 2 years, but I question whether that would be the same had they played on different sides.
