I tried to embrace the whole Wolves thing, But, I have yet to hear 1 supporter shout 'come on Wolves' on the terraces, even my youngest, who was born after the super league era started, shouts for 'The Wire'.

In fact.. If it was not for Joel scoring tries, and 'wolfie wolfie show us your ass' there would be zero canine influance at the HJ.

There is zero chance of us dropping the Wolves name. The nickname Wire is still alive, changing the name now would be a massive waste of time and money. Who cares if no-one shouts "Wolves".

In relation to Salford the phrase if you put lipstick on a pig it is still a pig springs to mind. That and glitter on a turd.

The Red Devils thing is your heritage, not your roots. If you were going back to your roots, you would be in Salford itself, not Barton. We could, of course, go a stage further and bring your new ground into things. Put pigs in palaces and they'll still be pigs.

What relegation battles were these? I can only remember one and i think that might have been one of the years that Salford went down.
It's great to see Salford on the way back, but it will take a bit more than a couple of years. they may have been the red Devils before Man U adopted the name, but has anyone actually checked to see whether or not they've also taken out a copyright on it?

We're going to be bringing in upto 10 new players it'll be a total different side. Yes Marwan Koukash has, apparently only the Belgium national football team have tried to copyright the name but nothing completed. I suspect Dr Koukash will try and make it a registered trade mark for the team who were named it first.

Calm down and have a look at my next post. It takes a bit more than bringing in new players to make a top side. we actually know that better than most. Alternatively look at Hull, a raft of new players every year and the same old problems. It's a huge job and not a short term fix.

For me Hull have the same problems Warrington had for years, a bad coaching set up.
