Not totally surprising.

The equipment has been run down and broken for quite a while with seriously shoddy maintenance. This is indicative of how the entire company has been run from the head office.

The customer care is some of the worst I've ever known.

Shame for the staff and the personal trainers though who weren't expecting it.

Really? Next to a gas works, McDonalds, and industrial supply units and the only real access to said estate off probably the busiest road in and out of town. Good luck to them.

Pure Gym is the way to go. 24 hour access for £18 per month - especially if you're not bothered about swimming etc

Flippin' marvellous, I was only in there yesterday.
I paid for my annual membership up front so will have to wait for these clowns to contact me now to get my money back. Looks like Orford Park is going to be inundated!

I hate to say it but (based on nothing at all I should say) I don't like your chances of getting a refund. All sounds a bit fishy to me.

Having a bit of knowledge about this via work, I'm not surprised it's happened and I wouldn't be surprised if it's not the only one that will be closing.

Oh god, no thank you. From what I've witnessed in that place, best thing I ever did was cancel my contract and go somewhere else. Horrible, horrible gym.

Well as a company they still have a decent amount of other fitness clubs, so if necessary I will be calling head office.
