| Personally i feel that the trip to oz was pointless! Playing against a naff souths team and having to come back a week before the season starts which could give us problems with jet lagged players etc! Also, the fans have had 1 pre season fixture which some people may not have been able to go to because of christmas/family comitments so weve not seen our team play ready for the season! All in all a wasted journey! Your opinions, guys!?

Yea, would have boosted some morale after the Myler incident! There was a few positives! We'll see though

| Rabbitohs team we played would probably finish top two in SL , which is a much better test than a meaningless trip to Leigh or Widnes and play a half hearted game at a third pace , jet lag is the only concern but the extra fitness we will have gained and the extra motivation it will give the younger and older players can only be positive along with the addition of learning new training techniques and training In much better conditions than the frozen wet cold conditions all the other teams can only be seen as advantage Wire So IMHO ur talkin BOLLOX !

| The only people who can answer this question are the players and coaches, they are the ones who will benefit, or not, from the experience.
From what some of them have been saying on twitter, it has been a hard preseason.

| as we learned last season the start you make to superleague is more or less irrelevant (except for the fans) and i reckon that even if we turn out to start with a bit underdone in the playing department the gains we will have made in terms of team spirit will pay dividends at the back end of the season

| Trip of a lifetime for the youngsters, to sample a different culture
Pearls of wisdom from Johns
Tips from other sports
Different mentalaties/training methods to the ones they're used to
If today would have been the game v Leigh, Salford etc, it would have been cancelled (frosty ground), so match run-out time will have been lost
Better quality of opposition (even if South's team was mainly youth based)
It's cost money from Moran's big whisky bottle, when he's come home from a night on the razz.
Plus points all the way for me

| at the risk of feeding a troll.
wonderful for me. Imagine how valued the players feel right now by a club that has done this for them.
They will the envy of all other players in SL right now and will know it.
it is a short career and memories are made of stuff like this.
I think its was a gamble that will turn out very well after the win, we can argue all day about teams strength etc etc, but at the end of the day we beat what was in front of us and in the first half ripped them to bits.
Happy days to be a wire player indeed.
