Cynically speaking, is this why his form is so much better in 2023 knowing his family are homesick so plays out of his skin to get a decent contract in the NRL, I hope I am wrong, but its very suspicious.

Gutted to be losing Mikaele, as he has been excellent this season. But looking on the bright side, if we do manage to bring in a centre - be it Patrick Herbert or someone else - we might end up with a more balanced squad in the longer-term as a result. A second row would be better still. I would feel happier about it if we didn't keep getting our props injured, though!

FFS! I hope this doesn't upset the apple cart too much.... just when we start looking like a really good, balanced team! Not happy.

In preseason my reaction would be pfftt!! I wasn't previously impressed with him, but he's started really well much better than I'd have thought.

I agree with others a 'swap' for a decent Centre or Second Row works for me as we'll be better balanced IMO

He's been great this season but lets face it, he was always going to go back home sometime and with the abundance of props we currently have, I don't think it's going to be that much of an issue.

Vaughan, Dudson, Kasiano, Harrison, Bullock, McGuire and Philbin is still a monster pack. I'd like us to put the free cap space into signing a centre and if we do I think we will have a really exciting team.

BIG mistake letting him go straight away. We've got Bullock and Harrison still out injured with no time given (that i know of) for Harrison. So we'll be 3 props down so doesn't make sense. If we said yes you can go in 3-4 weeks that would be better. Disappointed to see him go but if his family want to go home it's a hard place to be in.
I hope we don't bring this Herbert in as with him being 2 months away from recovery from his ACL injury it makes no sense, especially with Wrench back soon. Hopefully he is off to Catalans like rumoured.
Only positive with Mikaele going is the cap space and quota spot, but i hope he's here for the next 2-3 games at least.
