| Wakefield.... I'm at a loss. I feel for the fans, to think that I thought we've had it tough.
I feel so selfish comparing our troubles to theirs.
Trinity are embarrassing and makes the slogan look a complete joke.
The concept is completely flawed.

No it isn't. The fact is that Wakefield simply aren't good enough. It isn't lack of effort, it's purely and simply that they haven't got the quality of player to survive. How many Wakefield players on show tonight would you sign? None. It's a bit like Blackpool FC in the Football Championship, or London Welsh in RU. Simply not good enough.
I have huge fears about Wakefield. They have been sold down the river by the Council and serious mismanagement by various boards of directors means that they have no money. If they do go down, they will do well to survive.

| The sentimental part of me laments the sight of one of our games most famous names and clubs sliding towards oblivion, and with the problems over the ground, finances and the possibility of relocation, obliviion is not overstating it.
Similarly, I find it difficult looking at famous old clubs like Oldham, Workington & Halifax struggling for gates that barely guarantee survival and yet I read this week someone somewhere things a club based in Canada (no, really) is viable.
I hope that any club that find itself outside of SL use it as an opportunity to rethink, get their house in order and re-appriase their business without the pressure of trying to compete with the Leeds, Wigans and, yes Warrington's of the world. I hope Bradford and London will come back into SL stronger very soon, and I hope Leigh in particular join them. It needn't be the end.
But we all cried out for relegation, and someone has to go through the trapdoor. Survival of the fittest at the moment means Wakefield are out on a limb. Irrespective of how they perform on the field, their business model is unsustainable without a new ground and investment. SL as a whole isn't strong enough that we can carry any club which merely survives, rather than prospers.

| It's Chris Riley i feel sorry for.2012 he was scoring at Wembley for his hometown club, then made scapegoat by Smith, now the poor lad is getting hammered every week at a club where I suspect he'd rather not be. He must have run over a black cat somewhere, never mind a Wildcat.

| Can't wait for them to get relegated. Brought nothing to Super League over the last 10 years or so. Get them down, and get either Leigh, Bradford and Halifax up.

| Wakefield are on death's door as a club. The stadium failure and the failure to deliver solid financing has left the coach with nothing. They have some really exciting backs there, but their pack is woeful. I think they would be lower mid-table in the Championship at present.
I really can't see a future for them, or Salford currently. Both of those clubs are going to disappear soon.

| I don't know what the state of Wakey's finances are, although I heard about their recent problems with the new stadium. But ultimately it will be the supporters that will suffer if the club does get relegated or even fold. We are lucky in that we have a strong sponsor and good finances, otherwise we could easily be in their position.
If the club does get relegated though I hope Leigh come up. Not only do they have a decent stadium to showcase the sport, but hopefully they will attract local youngsters into their ranks and stop Wigan getting the pick of the area.

| If it was not for Wakefield we would have had no Atkins, Wood, Westwood or Solomona to name but a few.

Why is it that whenever a player is left out of the side, or sold, Tony Smith is accused of "making them a scapegoat"? What he's actually doing is using his vast experience as a top-level coach and deciding that the player in question isn't performing well enough. In other words, Smith is simply doing his job. You and I may not agree with his decisions at times, but so what? We're fans, he's the head coach.

| Chris had the option to stay but wanted to play regular footie.
He'd fallen down the pecking order behind Ormsby, That decision was TS's - I think based on his belief that Ormsby could run the ball back better (mainly because of his size).
That's RL.
Doesn't mean TS doesn't rate him, but just he doesn't fit into how he thinks the game isbeing / should be played.

| I couldn't understand for the life of me, Riley's decision to go to Wakey. With respect to them, they're always going to struggle.
Now I'm not suggesting that he's going to usurp Hall, Charnley etc, but he's far too good for a relegation (near) certainty.
Very strange
