I was hoping we would have James Laithwaite and Richie Myler back for this match. My guess would be that Riley will not play as we need to give Paul Wood game time, if correct, we might see King or Phibs having another run out.

Possibly but not necessarily. Ratchford is back so him or Bridge could slot in at right centre with O'Brien retaining his place at half back.
I would leave out Toby King and Glenn Riley. I'd like to have another look at Philbin. With England, Hill, Wood and Asotasi we have good prop cover so don't see the need for a fifth prop especially when you consider Harrison also plays as an extra prop.

| I don't understand the sense why posters still think we should be playing Bridge or Ratchford at right centre????

Errr, because we have a squad, with adaptable players and Joel Monaghan isn't playing. King may also get a run out there but Bridge and Ratchford are sensible options.

| Wouldn't be a surprise to see Currie slot in at centre.

probably because bridge is a and ratchford can play ... its not rocket science why people would have this opinion.
having said that, they should be our first choice HB pairing in the big games from now on.

I disagree by labelling of Bridge as a centre.
He was always a hb, brought to Wire to play hb.
Played hb, moved to centre and returned to hb.
He is that good of a player that he can play centre better than anybody else currently at our club but that doesn't make him an out and out centre.

KT I'm surprised at you, Morleys Deckchair I'm not, but you haven't thought it through.
I agree that we could play Myler there because he lacks game time and because Widnes is a game we can take some calculated risk with.
Yet playing Myler to put Bridge right centre is then defeating the point of the switch!!
Myler has only one cause to play at hb, and that is if there is an injury to either R & B.
With that being the case then neither R or B would be fit to play centre.
So you make the team line up with a player who would likely play right centre should R or B not be available, which would be Joel or Currie.
How can you not see that? Or is that rocket science md?
There is absolutely no way that Myler would remove either R & B from first choice hb now on their form as a partnership unless it's a game like Widnes where we can risk resting one like as if one is injured or on a suspension. It's also even less likely that would occur now that we have forwards back in contention.

I didn't think Myler was in the squad this week. Not sure how the conversation has moved to him. The point is that our right centre from recent games is not in the squad so we have to look at replacing him. That might be Bridge, Ratchford, King or even Currie. All can fit in there and there is an argument in favour of each one.
