| what i dont understand is why we dont give them a chance! we give them a run out in 2,3,4 games a season thats it, look at teams like wigan (hughes), leeds (keinhorst) and saints (josh jones) they give their youngsters a game and if they do well they stay in the squad, our players like currie dwyer and evans play well and their dropped the next week...how we meant to keep bringing players through if they play well and then get dropped our U20's won the league so weve clearly got the talent coming through we just need to let them show it

| I would like to see them played as well. Laithwaite would have been a good shout after his return from HKR and Ormsby would be interesting. Evans has had a long injury of course, whilst Currie has had a few games (and was then on the Academy tour) whilst Dwyer suffered because of the re-introduction of Monas.
What would you have done out of interest ?

| Maybe this dual registration will work wonders for our young lads who can then comeback as SL ready players when we lose some or all of our Aussies when their contracts run out.

| I understand currie has been away, but he made his first debut against widnes, played the full 80 had a brilliant game, dropped the next week? likewise dwyer, great debut against wakey, in the squad for wigan but didnt get in then as soon as higham was back from suspention he took his place off him...would loved to have seen players like laithwaite, ben evans, ormsby, and saltonstall have a game all great young players who given a game can become future stars...if a first teamers gets suspended or injured and come back and a youngsters has took their place they should have to fight for it back not just walk straight over them back into the squad

| im a fan of the dual reg, but doing it to championship clubs yeah it gives them experience in playing at a slightly higher level but the jump from championship to super league is masive i'd much perfer they were loaned to other super league clubs like o'brian and laithwaite were

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

If it wasn't the play offs and so late in the day to be bringing youngsters in i can think of 2 players that needs a rest from the current 17 on their overall form this year.

Ah yes let's drop Tyrone McCarthy, our best player last night. Sorry, what was that you said about dropping young players after they've played well? Grix probably played hooker about twice this season.
These young players are great cover to have and add to the unparalled strength in depth we have. Their days in the spotlight will come, but today is not that day.

| Haven't we played these lads in some games and then we've got beaten and the fans had a go at Tony Smith for disrespecting the fixture by playing youngsters?

| The time will come for our youngsters
At the moment, we have better/more experienced players in those postions.
To "throw" these youngsters in at such a crucial time in the season, will (more than likely) be folly.
One bad game, does not a bad team, make.

Well Rhys Evans is now in the tier 1 category of 25, along with GOB, so we need to view these players as first team pool now. That's a bit tough on Evans because he has not played a lot of games, but if either underperform, they can be expected to be 'rested' I suspect.
Outside of this we have seen Currie and Dwyer. I think both have actually done very well. Currie is only just 18 and slotted in well in the second row, whist Dwyer has had a longer run due to Monas knee injury. Unless these players are tested at this level we will never know if they can make it. So TS is going to have to pick his games, ignore the criticism and get on with it. I think we already have 8 ? Contracts up at the end of the year and an 'ageing population' of players. If I were a betting man I might think that TS is deferring the problem of player replacement because he is likely to be gone himself at the end of 2013. He only really needs a grand final for his CV to finish it off.

He's already got 3 Grand Finals on his CV, 2 of which he's won.

No, I should have been clearer. I mean job done at Warrington. 3 cc's and a SL trophy would I think be bad news for us a fans as TS would want to move on and test himself elsewhere.

| I remember someone on here saying that Rhys Evans was a once in a generation player. Can't remember who it was, but whenever I've seen him I've been very impressed. Obviously there are his injury problems, but if fit then he should be playing a lot more next year, we don't want to see his potential go to waste.
Ben Currie is another one who should be used a bit more sparingly because of his age and the position he plays, but ideally you would like to see him in the side more often than not, on the bench at least.
