| read the report its been around years....
its Warrington 'the council' compared to other regional councils. its not like an up market version of the "Crap Towns" book
so before some 'end comes on from Widnes, widnes doesnt even appear on the list because its part of Halton council
and its all about red and green flags and for some reason we had 3 red flags.
On the whole the three flags were for nothing majorly wrong with the town although the childcare red flag was a concern.... but 3 red flags was the most anyone recieved.
but leicester gets red flagged for a rise in violent crime
while Suffolk gets a Green flag for tackling on street prostitution....!!!
they sound so appealing anyone moving there?

| So places like Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn, Burnley, Nelson, Accrington, Bury, Bradford, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Middlesbrough, Luton, Leicester, Wolverhampton, Stoke on Trent, Hull are better places to live. Hmmm not too sure about that.

| And at the same time as this was out I remember some of the business pages saying that Warrington was the second most successful town in the UK (behind Worthing). In my usual simplistic 2+2 way, put these two together and it seems that success cannot get you a decent quality of life OR................................. all statistics are bo##ocks that can be used to "prove" anything. I even remember my old maths teacher using them to prove that 2=1.

| Surely a case for the local MPs to tackle.
There should be an argument for transfer revenues from more affluent areas for regeneration. Why don't they divert some of the money thats being wasted in places like Salford and Liverpool who have fancy dockside developments, to areas which really need it like Warrington?
