I think it's an interesting point and a nice dilemma to have. With King, Bridge, Atkins, Hicks and Riley all fit (we assume!). Who, out of those five, will fill the four three-quarter positions? If any are dropped, they can consider themselves very unlucky!

The other option if of course to move Bridge to stand-off but I get the impression Smith will keep Grix there.

Not sure what I'd do to be honest. If any have knocks then that makes the decision easier, but otherwise I don't know who I'd leave out or stick on the bench!

i think you have hit the nail on the head regards moving bridge to stand off in place of grix,
you could just tell from grixs interview with gazza that summat werent rite. as he said tony tells you everyday.

good call.

On form Riley and King have to be dead certs, and even though Atkins hasn't shown us his best, as a TS signing I'd be surprised if he's 'rested' just yet. If Bridge and Hicks are equally fit, then it would have to be Bridge for me with Hicks gaining a little more match fitness in the reserves (don't like putting an out and out back on the bench).

Hicks, and I believe Clarke too, will pay the price of being unfit at the start of the season and have wait until an injury gives them an extended run in the team and their opportunity to impress.

If other players are playing better than him, then of course TS can leave him out.You dont get picked on past achievements,it how well you playing now.So i would go with Mathers,King,Riley,Atkins and Bridge. Leave Grix and Myler at 6,7

Leave Bridge on the sides for another week. The squad is strong enough to be lying 2nd in SL having just won at Huddersfield and we really shouldn't be rushing players back before they are fully fit as we have been guilty of too often in the past.

I see what you mean. Our leading try scorer from last year and match winner from last week must of course stand down for the in form Ryan Atkins.

Very valid position however for the bulk of last week we had Vinnie at centre so for me Bridge to come straight in for him and keep the rest as it was for the bulk of last week's game.

Mathers
Hicks
Bridge
Atkins
King
Grix
Myler

I dont think i could stomach anymore Vinnie Anderson to be honest, he surely has to be an absolute last resort these days.

Surely that was only because Riley was off the field for most of the game after being poked in the eye? What has Bridge done this season to warrant walking straight back into the team at the expense of Riley? If he were to come straight back in surely Atkins would make way in the centres or Grix in the halves?

Riley can't play centre so I don't see it's a question of Bridge replacing him (if Bridge is fit).

I think Hicks is a better option on the wing than Riley. Its admittedly tough on Riley but that's the way it is. If anything you could argue Riley at full-back in place of Mathers but I'd be worried about the loss of vocal organisation. Riley by his own admission last year is not the most vocal on the pitch.

May well be that Bridge is best given another week to fully recover, as mark_m implied - don't fix what isn't broke.

Bridge will be back and it may well mean that Riley drops out.
