Hi Ladies Gents

For those dont know who i am i am the Secretary of the Steve Prescott Foundation.

We had the great privilege of taking the Official Carnegie Challenge Cup Ball all the way with us on this years Challenge which was from Catalans to Wembley.

Here is a pic of Steve Prescott placing the Same ball down for the Kick Off



This ball has now been signed by the entire Winning Warrington Wolves Cup Final team and within the next few days it will be auctioned off on Ebay.

It will come with a Letter of Authentication from Steve Prescott.

As soon as it is on Ebay i will let you all know.

I would love to bid, but I suspect it will be way way way out of my price range very quickly. Good luck with the auction, and I hope that several people with very deep pockets all want the ball and drive the price sky high.

I wonder if the club would be interested in buying it?. Whatever happens lets hope that you raise plenty, good luck.

I really liked the t-shirts and vests the guys were wearing on the day at wembley (the one Steve is wearing in the pic)....I thought a small run of them would have proved popular?

Far too expensive for any of us to even contemplate.

I nearly touched that ball !!!!, as we walked up to the stadium, i heard a voice from behind shout "Up the Wire" as we turned around i saw it was Scully, just behind in the group running was Prescot who passed the ball to me, it was intercepted by my lad who passed it back, as Prescot caught it he said youve just had the match ball.

I have obviously got a little bit slower these days, 20 years ago i would have had that pass and been away

Isnt there loads of match balls? like when the balls kicked out and restarted. must be about 10 of em.

Yes there is......but there was only one that made the full journey from Catalans to Wembley

This ball was the official Carnegie Challenge Cup Ball one and when it was first kicked into touch Carnegie took it out of the game and the ball made its way to me.

The Letter of Authentication will be signed by Carnegie the main match sponsor to state this fact.

Doogal, post the ebay link up when your ready to auction it, i wouldn`t mind a go at the auction. I can see it fetching a decent amount, anywhere between £800 and £1500 and possibly more depending if someone really wants it.

Is it a full size match ball the same as used in the final ? I can`t remember or not if they kicked off with it or whether it was a one off special ball made for the Catalan to Wembley challenge.

If I had the money, id buy it and then give it back to prekky as a momento
