| Think he deserves praise, I thought he was one of the most exciting attacking players I had seen during his first stint, but had his defensive frailties. Worked exceptionally hard to come back and has never let us down. My heart sunk when that ball came loose, not because I thought he had done anything particularly wrong but I just knew there would be criticism from the naysayers.
He has earned his place in the team and certainly doesn't deserve to lose it. Keep up the good work KP!

| The worry tonight, and the one he has to learn from, is how often he got sucked inside by ball-watching when he should just have been marking Manfredi (the danger man for them).
Penny has transformed his game and I'm not going to bag him. But he did make a few errors tonight and I'll back him to acknowledge that and improve his game accordingly.

| Really like KP, more than worth his place in the starting side. Everyone makes mistakes but he certainly atoned for it with a brilliant take later on.
He also took his try brilliantly as it must be tricky to catch those kicks at the speed he runs.
Thought Lineham really upped his intensity tonight and ran in really strongly- his best all round game so far.

DITTO
I knew as soon as Manfredi got that try, blood would be smelt on here.
For me, Penny's name is one of the first on the team sheet, this season. A ton of hard work, and tries, too.
Keep it up, boy

This exactly. Not his finest night but he has earnt an off night with his exploits so far. Backing him to come back stronger from this.

| i think he is on smiths 'will drop' list.... and i think after tonight, it could well happen.
he has been decent, but he gifted them a few tonight... it could be his time for a rest

| He has come on immensely. I never thought that when he left that he'd eventually come back and nail down that spot but he's making a great go of it. That defensive error was out of character since he's come back and is usually very good, he came out and shut down a play from Wigan in the first half that I thought was superb. He did sucked in a few times to let Manfredi get away like Browny said, I'll have to watch it back to see if he or Atkins was at fault there.

| Actually I saw one cock up, but from what I could see he was inside Manfredi because they had us outnumbered on that side leaving Penny 2 on 1.
The goons attacked on the short side lots of times also and it looked like they had one extra man - particularly on our right - but the guys stood up well (particularly Hughes, he had a stormer)

| Yes, Hughes was man-managing Lineham. It looked like one man and his dog from what I could see. Excellent play from Hughes, he really is getting better with each match.

| Penny got sucked in once and Atkins got sucked in once. Big Penny fan though and I'll admit I've slagged Atkins off a few times but he's impressed me this season.

| Penny has improved his all round game but seems oblivious to whats happening on his outside at times, his greae lightning seems to have gone, probably because he's filled out a bit. He's not a bad player but i do worry when the attack steer towards him and atkins

| am amazed theres even a thread on it...he made one bad read all game and dropped a low kick,
he does two to three time the work Lineham does (im guessing for a third of his pay as well)
he scores another worldy finish against the best winger in the competition and some people still think its his fault if a try is scored on his wing.....
For the first try Ratchford is even pointing at the third man out (Sarginson) which leaves Penny with a two on one Higginson and Manfredi... I'm sorry but if fans on here think that is anyway Penny's fault you haven't got a clue.
even Carney said it was the inside players that got it wrong...
he's made some astonishing one on one tackles this season that have really shut down attacks.
its so sad that a player that Entertains and is a local lad has to read some of the simpleton crap on these forums. I dont understand it is it jealous fans that think they could have been a contender but were too fat stupid and scared to lace up boots and take the knocks he 's took...?
I'm at a loss with it....
the only negative tonight was the injuries...oh and Kurt Gidleys "knock on"

| We were sat on Kevin's wing and we all commented on how often tonight he was left with a two on one overlap. He was in a no win situation, unless he came in to try to smother the centre there was no way he could have saved all of the tries.

| Went tonight and Penny did a hell of a lot of work defensively. That aspect of his game has improved immeasurably. He's an exciting talent, if he gets some space no one will catch him. People should lay off him.
Lets remember we are top of the league and but for Sandows injury we would have put 50 on that lot! By the way, how good were Westerman, Currie and Hughes? An incredible effort from all 3.

here endeth the lesson.
Sadly, biscuit, none of the pupils will listen.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO SLAG A PLAYER OFF/MAKE A NEW THREAD, SIMPLY BECAUSE HE'S MADE A MISTAKE (haven't some forgot he's scored one and made one)
FFS, WE'VE WON.
