| Tell me if I'm being paranoid here because having read a couple of articles and watched our new signings I'm a little concerned about the commitment of both Simms and Clark
I've noticed over the last few times DC has been asked about his future he spends very little time talking about playing for us and I'm getting the impression his heart isn't in this transfer
I also read that now he wants to play in the NRL , now I understand how players do this but the guy hasn't even played a game for us yet and he's talking to the press about wanting to test himself in Oz
Secondly Simms has stated that he didn't want to leave the NQC and that he's only got 2 years to do and he will defo be back at the NQC in a capacity of some form , geees this sounds like a prison sentence that once he's served he can go home
Both articles are on the NRL website .....
Worried ? Definitely !!!!

| Welcome to the Warrington Wolves Community Service club, Messrs Clark and Sims
You can put your Primrose and Blue hi-viz tabbards on, and pick up litter from the stadium concourse.
It's going to be a long 2 years for you both.

| Both players have only just finished the season and are still at their respective clubs. As such I think it's acceptable for them to be commenting on their current position. Come November or whenever we see them, the tune will change and all you will hear about is signing for Wire. I'm not overly concerned.

| Same here as well. Once they're in their new club surroundings of Warrington with TS and their new team mates, I think it'll be a diiferent story.

| Regards Sims he really wants to come over and experience SL, I caught it on an interview.
He's no different to Cooper, wants to experience something different but loves his ex club.
Clark though, never mentions us, went a step beyond us saying he wants to go to Oz and all the talks of Cas trying to 'buy him back' smacks of he really doesn't want to be here but hey money and better training facilities and coaches will get him to the next level to compete in Oz.

| Not this again
Right if anyone from the media department is reading, if we sign Hock I've drafted a script for him:
"Today is the proudest moment of my career as I sign for the Wire. I know the marketing people will expect me to say Wolves, but you will have to forgive me for falling short in my corporate duties, because for me, the club will always be the Wire.
"As a boy I watched players like Parry Gordon, Mike Gregory, Mark Roberts and Paul Cullen play for Wire and these great men inspired me to take up rugby league. It wasn't just the skill they had it was the way they played the game, the loyalty and the values they stood for, the way they were role models for young people in the community. These are the values, that win or lose, have defined everything I have sought to be and this is why I dreamed that one day I would be able to add my name to their illustrious roll and find a place in the hearts of every Wire fan.
"I had offers to make more money elsewhere but when I heard that there was a chance of coming to Wire, I could think of nothing else, until I could secure my pen to that contract.
"The day I pull on that historic primrose and blue jersey will be the realisation of a dream that makes every sacrifice I have made in my career worthwhile and I would invite every Warringtonian to buy a season ticket, spread the word to your family and friends, let us pack that stadium and make the town rock to the tune of Wire success."

| You don't need all that, that sh*t winds me up just as much, I'm not after some sycophantic nose spelunking, but there's the 'completely avoiding all talk and zero enthusiasm approach too.
They're all pro's, we know they don't support Wire but look at Atkins, he was buzzing and he isn't a Warrington fan.

| If we wanted a badge kisser and back slapper we'd have resigned Mathers. But these two players are a cut above and are adored by their fans. They respect where they have come from and appreciate the support given to them, and who knows, if the Warrington fans get behind them, they may say the same about Warrington when they eventually do leave the club.

| What a load of utter nonsense, we're concerned about two quality signings (hard to make these days) because they aren't sleeping in Wire pyjamas and cuddling Wolfie. Both are top players and top professionals, they wont let us down. If Clark has ambitions to play in the NRL then good on him, he's not gonna get a gig over there by ambling his way through his time with us, he'll get that by playing consistently well and hopefully in big games where he'll win something. Also both have been quoted about how much they're looking forward to coming anyway.
Let them do their talking on the pitch which i'm convinced they will do.

| Have to agree with the above posts, I couldn't give 2 shiny S$ites if they haven't (as yet) waxed lyrical about Warrington off the park. It's what they do ON it that counts.

| I bet when Morley signed for us be was thinking "I wish the roosters had given me the option of a Two year contract". ..... or "I wish leeds would have stumped up more money I'd have preferred to have gone to a big club that will win trophies. "
When he left he was a wire legend who filled his boots and then some he played more games for us than any other club. It's not what you say before you play a game for your new club is what you DO when wearing that Jersey.
As long as neither player use big Roys quote of "I'm looking forward to playing here, at my last club it was like a full time job". ...!!

| FFS people, it's like Asotasi and his supposed holiday comments all over again. If we all start off with that view of these players we will never accept them.
We have got an awesome player in Clarke who is only 21 - expecting him to turn up and commit his entire player career to the Wire is ridiculous. He's being honest about wanting to play in the NRL someday, what is wrong with that? Let's enjoy him while he's here, and who knows what will happen in the meantime.
As for Sims, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying he might return to his former club after his contract with us is over either. What do we expect him to do, retire and buy a house in Orford and live happily ever after?
Let's wait till they're through the door and they've actually played a few games for us before we start making judgements about their commitment to the Wire cause eh?

| Asotasi came out with those comments and alarm bells were ringing, I raised my fear then and the last Wigan game aside was generally proven right.
Enthusiasm/being happy can be the difference between playing to an expected level and going beyond what is expected.
This lad is quick but he's no Monaghan.

Mike Cooper did.
