I was doing a bit of mooching around YouTube and found something very interesting. I've seen a few on here wanting the fans to have an anthem before the players come out. Much like Leeds and Hull do. Well as it turns out Wire have had one all along, but may have been lost over time. Never heard of it before. Sounds quite old has it been used by the fans before? It could work with it being from our history rather than trying to create one and force it, shame it isn't well known!

Gosh shows how old I am, remember this well 1973 I think, for a short time we used to run out to it. Like the pictures to go with it Chissy class, Tommy Matin with a cigar. Sorry the game was more fun then, with far more characters in the game. That's just my opinion know it will upset some people

Don't see why that would upset people. The game was better then :/ I think it would be great for the fans to sing this before a game. Better than having cruddy pop music blasted down our ears.

it was recorded by the players,just before the 1973/74 cup final,we did run out to it a couple of times after. The last time being the last home game before the 2009 cup final.that utube clip transported me back to my miss spent twenties what a decade that was ,for me and the team.

Well we have the lyrics, all we need now is the club to play it before each game.

If the club had their head screwed on they could even invite fans to come a record a new version with the current players. That version could then be played before kick off.

If they went a step further they wouldn't play any music what so ever and let the fans build their atmosphere then play this song just as the players walk out. The players may get more pumped up for the game as they were involved with the fans in recording it.

Surely Simon Moranovich has contact for mass song recordings.
