| Reading about this in guardian,After this weekends events at football matches should the promotion not be about Fierce Rivalry or has Barry Hearn already taken over and will we see Clubb and Hill outstaring each other. After our other stunts this season beginning to think Wire marketing has been taken over by 13 year olds

| Next thing they will have both packs facing off on the halfway line with mics & slagging each other off like in US wrestling. 70 minutes of that then 10 minutes rugby.

| It needs some work but it's a step in the right direction. Wolfpack are miles ahead of everyone in promotion...I think we've taken notice of them. Early days but bread and butter tastes better with a slice of cheese.

And yet all the journos and broadcast partners are saying how well we're doing, and how others should take note that we're thinking outside the box.
This is quite good, its a run of the mill match and we're doing a live press conference rather than 10 journos in a room at the stadium having a chat, people will be walking past this thinking it must be a big event.

| Don't see the harm in this really, as long as it isn't handled like a Boxing event. Hopefully will see some TV cameras turn up and we can get a bit of a feature of it on local news / Sky Sports. Unfortunately given the attendance at the Pie Dome last week it's doubtful we can expect a sellout for this one.
I've been impressed to be honest how the club have stepped up their game in terms of marketing & promoting the games & club this year. For too long we've had people complaining that we don't do enough, at least now we are getting the Wire name out there both in the town and in certainly in social media. We have to reach a broader people base as well, the demographic of a Rugby League fan is an ageing one which doesn't sit well with potential sponsors I'm sure.
I believe they are doing a 'Kids for a Quid' promotion for the London game - with the target being selling out the West Stand - not sure if there are adult discounted tickets for this too. It's on a Friday night in April which is a shame, might put off some of the younger kids and possibly gives less opportunity for making it a true family day with things going on round and outside the stadium.

Have you seen the video on twitter?
It’s been a (very) long time since I was 13, but it reminded me of what attracted me to Rugby League in the first place. The promotion of the game by our marketing department has been outstanding this season. Karl F said we have an ageing spectator group and they are trying to get a younger generation interested. Good on them I say.
Oh, and as far as I’m concerned Wigan will always be our fiercest rivals.

This season has seen Warrington produce the best marketing by any club in the SL era.
Everything they are doing is relevent, on trend and most importantly is extremely social media friendly. I.e. the stuff being produced is quick, funny and straight to the point.
Most clubs in any sport hold pre-match press conferences. Just so happens this is going to be a press conference which is also open to the public.
Alot of people from outside Warrington come to the Golden Square to shop. There's also alot of people in Warrington who don't follow RL... Doing this puts (arguably) Warringtons biggest regular season home game right in the public spotlight and can attract alot of passing trade. It will engage with young kids and even allows older supporters to ask a question they find important.
How on earth anyone could find our murrent marketing naff is beyond me. However, with it being RL fans who are obsessed with everything being flat caps and whippets I'm not surprised at all that some speccies can find a way to moan about it.

| The last time I ever remember anything public in Golden Square was seeing Robbie Muller and team mates as winners of the Lancashire Cup!

| I wonder if Pricey will call out Adrian Lam as a low-budget caretaker till the real boss arrives. Say Wigan have lost their "aura" and teams no longer fear them, everyone knows now that they have a soft underbelly. O'Loughlin should retire, he's living off past glories. Tell them they're gonna die in the ring and we'll eat their children, like Tyson said to Lennox Lewis. Also their pies are rubbish, we have all switched to vegan sausage rolls from Greggs.
Get everyone pumped for the big game.
