Is leaving the club to take up a position with RFL.

Yes. He's gone already I heard.

He has done a great job for our club in a short space of time. Lets only hope he can do the same for the wider RFL.

Let's also hope that we get someone who can continue to build on the work he has done. The mentality of the club has changed since he has been here, more expansive, more fan friendly, more professional, this needs to continue.

He came in and made some good noises like....
Got a new logo....erm, erm, Now I'm thinking... Give me time.....Arh yes, some things behind the scenes.

He certainly made the right sounds early on and made some changes, but it just didn't kick on did it? For me anyway..... also i heard Mr Draper made quite a few false promises in terms of the 'contacts' he had to help the club going forward which never materialised. Guess we will never know now.....

I said this a few weeks back, start Of The season was great, then it just all died a death, the matchday stuff, I don't see the hardwired garbage being used, we were just back to how it was before he turned up, plus with a new badge that were indifferent over.

Strangely enough the bells and whistles seemed to disappear at the same time our form started wobbling, mid-season.

we are clearly in a better place I wouldn't say we made massive strides but strides non the less.


The club shop is better

the logo is better new and fresh...yes some don't like it but some would rather we were still at wilderspool!

communication with fans is better. things have got done whether its more staff in the concourses cheaper beer and better hand dryers but stuff has got done.

the season ticket set up is much more professional.

match day experience started off brilliantly and did die down a bit but the light show stuff has been brilliant the recent saints game was top notch.

And we are the only club that has players on Question of sport I'm guessing the club has to approach the BBC for that.


If he can get rid of the cloth cap image of the sport in general he'll deserve a medal....I'm sure he'll give it a good go.
But we are a top quality club, and we'll get a very good replacement, who will do just as much if not more, i'm sure of that.

He was very good at spending money with a questionable return on that investment.

As MD...(don't know why we have to use Americanism like CEO)...he'll likely to continue to reap reward off his seeds even after the a new MD comes in, unless he awards himself a nice fat golden handshake from the shareholders.

So long as it's not Brian Berwick,I've no idea what he as done for Rugby League apart from turn up for free lunches.
