| Are people here bothered about the new sponsor?
It doesn't bother me personally however I think lifting the ban is too far.
If its bringing in decent money that's cool with me, they're already associated with Saints and Celtic FC so..

| Why not go the whole hog and sign Ched Evans while we're at it.

| Excellent news and sensible decision, I wonder if smokers will abuse the confusion this will cause though - hope not. The other thing is, all it takes is a couple of idiots sub ohming and blowing clouds, and it will soon seem like a bad idea. As long as all vapers keep it sensible and considerate and keep to the low vapour gear, we'll be ok

| It's a terrible decision for a sport and club promoting healthy lifestyles. With alcohol and betting you can say "Drink responsibly" and "Bet responsibly", which many do without becoming addicted.
For people who say "It's just water vapour" it's not. The vapour can still contain nicotine and other dangerous chemicals and metals. You just know that people will have cheap knock-off versions as well, which won't be low vapour and you don't know what they could contain.
A number of e-cigs have even exploded, so the club will allow potential explosive devices, which can damage the health of the user and others but you can't take in your own food and drink

| Which dangerous chemicals and metals are these? The make up of eliquid is propylene glycol/vegetable glycerine mixture(both safe) flavourings (food grade)and nicotine (trace elements are present in the vapour, but again, not dangerous) Pretty simple. Any exploded batteries have come from cheap batteries being over charged or venting when overcharged. Never when someone is using them. Nothing like media panic is there? Every single negative press release related to vaping has come based on research background funded by tobacco companies. Strange that?

Vapour can contain Acetaldehyde, Cadmium, Formaldehyde - used in embalming, Diethylene glycol - used in anti freeze, Isoprene, Lead, Nickel, Nicotine, Tin, Copper, Nickel, and Silver.
And a lot of the big tobacco companies actually own e-cig companies.

| Shouldn't tarnish all vapes with the same brush, I trust a Manchester based company more than one that's importing them. That's when you dont know what's in them!
Still, they should ban them in the stadium until there's solid research done.

| Diethylene Glycol has been found in ONE pre filled cartridge in all studies, and at 1% level. It is not used in eliquid. The trace metals you mention have been found in some cartomizers(the tanks used to put eliquid into) but were way below dangerous levels even based on the equivalent inhalation levels to 2 packs of cigarettes per day (around 200 puffs). These traces were present in the inhalation, and are not expelled in the vapour.

Exactly, not to mention all the vehicle exhaust fumes we as a nation encounter every day....much more dangerous than tobacco smoke in whatever guise.

| Just before Christmas I was working with somebody in one of the research departments at Manchester Uni. They were telling me that inhaling fine droplets of water into the lungs can make an individual more prone to pneumonia and other similar ailments. Their guess.....another 10-15 years before they know if vaping is "safe". OK, its almost certainly safeR than tobacco smoking but the jury is still out on whether promoting "safe forms of smoking" will affect they young. To put this into context, an ecig retailer near my work place has a constant flow of 17-20 years old from the local college buying product there.

| This has got to be one of the craziest decisions the Warrington Board of Directors could have possibly ever made, and one many wouldn't have predicted.
To retract the ban on vaping is a strange decision for a family orientated community club, but to go into partnership with a company to sell 'Warrington branded' e-cigarettes for exclusive use inside the stadium is crazy and based purely on profit. A decision that will come back and bite the club badly as a line has been crossed in commercialism.
The effects on health are still unknown, and such makes me feel uncomfortable both as an asthmatic & the father of an 8 year old who I bring to games to potentially passively inhale the vaped fumes of others. The clubs websites says its committed to promoting the rights of fans to make informed choices, but what about the fans who choose not to fill their bodies with harmful chemicals ?
The irony of the club promoting and selling its own brand of e-cigs for profit whilst housing an NHS unit underneath the East Stand is unbelievable, and reeks of hypocrisy.

| Some of you on here are failing to see the woods for the trees!
The bottom line is our club is now actively promoting the inhaling of nicotine to children.

| Still think the club should reissue the ban in the ground to appease the "think of the children!" Brigade, but the sponsorship of the South stand and selling branded ecigs are sound to me.

We've had gambling and alcohol sponsors in our sport before and do so today, why is nicotine any different?
I dont smoke and frankly loathe those who do, I dont want to breathe in passive smoke and so bans I'm all for.
As stated above, fine with the sponsorship, not fine with the ban being lifted.
