Danny Brough wants/demands to be the dominant half back/first receiver. The problem is, he isn't good enough to fill that role.

I don't know you. We say all this "he is average" crap but he is probably better than what we have now in the scrum half position and to top that off he would probably go and win Superleague with Saints.

I think we are being a bit harsh on him.

We have a more talented player at scrum half, who, for whaterver reason isn't at the top of his game. Btough reminds me of Long, minus the passing game, which is rather an important feature at scrum half don't you think?

As for the Saints bit, are you suggesting he would improve Saints sufficiently to enable them to overcome Leeds in a GF? As I for one, can't see that.

I don't believe what im reading, Danny Brough is a master compared to Briers, we could have bought Brough for a bag of nuts from Cas and we allowed him to go elsewere, now Wakefield can demand much more money.
The only problem with Danny for me is the injury side of things but if we had him next year instead of Briers then id be made up.

Brough is decent, and generally has an okay kicking game, but the amount of times he makes shocking errors surprises me. He also kicks the ball out on the full quite a lot.

I would prefer him to Monaghan, however he would still need to develop an awful lot, as I just think it is some maturity that he lacks.

i'll grant you dewsbury,i started off from york, still though. you could technically apply the same logic to big glees, sheffield, hudds, saints, warrington.

Brough decided to play for Scotland although probably wouldn't have been picked for England anyway but i could say the same about Briers, were is his bag full of international caps.
