| Leeds (home)
Huddersfield (away)
Widnes (away)
Wigan (home)
Hull (away)
Saints (home)
If we win >= 3 of these I would be confident of a fair season. < 3 and I think we may be looking at another tricky season.
What would be realistic?

| 3 out of 6 with improvement in each game will set us up nicely.

| ....with a fully fit squad inc full cap with 2 x marquee players....if we do only win just 3 from 6, we're in big trouble!
I expect 6 from 6, because we have home advantage over the Pies. I'd go 5/6 if it was Pies away.

| Happy new everyone firstly..
I think with the squad we have we should be looking looking to win 4.... I still think 5 out of the 6 isn't unacheivable , depending on squad availability. 3 would be an improvement front last year, but I'm sure the new manager would be looking for 4/5 as well. Personally I think Leeds and Saints home games and Hull away will be our biggest tests of the 6 games

I like your high standards and motivation, but I think you’ll be disappointed. Our whole structure has changed and lots of new faces who won’t have had any practice at playing together. Also we’ll likely missing Roberts and Akauola for the first few games.
3 wins would be acceptable, 4 good, 5 excellent and 6/6 we’d be carrying Price and Henderson through the streets straight to the town hall.
Let’s not build our hopes up too much for this year, and expect steady improvement with a real push in 2019....

I am with the Duck on this one. With our recruitment I would be very underwhelmed if we were anything less than 5/6. The Litmus test will be those first 3 games at home. 3 wins and we can look forward to a good season. I am sure Steve Price will try and put in place a Fortress Halliwell Jones I don't see any improvement in the Leeds, Pie and Saints teams.

Quite a standard to set that KLW "I would be very underwhelmed if we were anything less than 5/6".
I'd be hoping for 5/6 and if it's 3 or 4 then the manner in which those losses occurred is shirley a consideration? Luck, close game loss, injury, bad ref call etc.
What I want to see more than anything is a change in attitude, if we are having a new start let's have new start, not the same/old same old from last season. One thing is for sure the run of games we have been given will be a decent yard stick despite the vagaries of assessing early season form trips to Australia by one or two of our opponents
NTW and a Happy New Year to all

| My reasons for expecting nothing but 6/6 wins aren't that of bigotry and arrogance but of pure odds.
I take the same approach to gambling...I don't gamble on luck but chance.
Warrington and Wigan are to my knowledge the only two clubs with marquee signings. Saints just having one.
With full cap and a fully fit squad...chance would side on Warrington and Wigan both being neck and neck, and as a handicaper, I'd be giving them the same top weight....however home advantage does have an effect so then I would give the side with home advantage the win...
But then...
Pies have a slight advantage over Warrington in that they have and extra £100K or so to spend in their cap because Tompkins and Williams get a discount for home grown talent.
On a scale it does tip in Pies favour and says each time Wire play Pies, it ought to be a Pie win, but home advantage may just the difference for a Wire win or a draw. At the Pie Dome it favors a Pie win so that's why I predict 6/6 and not 5/6.
Every team below forms a sliding scale of probability defeat...Saints being the next tougher and then Leeds and Hull with big game experience and large home support, but with many other teams at full cap the main tipping point is the home advantage.
....and then you need to factor in form from injury situations!

The odds for Warrington winning 6 in a row will surely be < 50%.
Probably why Fred and Peter Done are billionaires.

| Odds are in RL are initially guided by historic form hence Cas followed by Leeds and Pies.
If one is prepared to look deeper than just that, money can be made in rl. ...betting shops are making more money from longer hours and shop and online gaming.
Their attention to RL is there for us to exploit as it's way down on the target market.
