| These kind of results are good for the international game. International RL is usually predictable, how many genuine upsets do you see? NZ beating Aus in the 2008 final is about as much an upset as you usually get.
At least this sounds like rugby league in Italy is stronger than people think and they are doing something right to bring good players through.....Wales, Scotland or Ireland never come close to beating England so what are the Italians doing right?

| Tell you what Sally, i haven't seen the game ,but i would think an Italian RL team would be very entertaining...even their Union boys like throwing the ball about.

| What do we expect from a t!t of a coach.
He said he was selecting players on form to start with and not on reputation. So he picks 3 players from the top 2 teams in the competition :- Huddersfield and Warrington, but picks 12 from Wigan and Leeds who finished 3rd and 4th.
And his love affair with Sinfield is a joke, as he has had one of his worst seasons for a while and is grossly overrated.

It comes down to having better players with more technical ability from a young age. English young players are just athletes, fit and physical and can run all day but they don't have the technical ability that the kids on the streets of Rome, Milan and so on have. Our coaches coach the technical ability out of them and until we produce players that have flair and genuine talent we will never win a major international tournament whether our coach is English or foreign.

Ha ha, don't think you're getting any bites with this one. Kids running round the streets of Scampia in Naples wanting to be the next Anthony Minichello

I can only assume it's due to family or his liking of Pizza. Other than that I haven't got a clue.
