| On limited viewing, good move for all round, he's looked lively in the games I've seen and he does seem a better fit there than here.

| From a cap perspective am i right in thinking we've lost Kasiano, Dwyer and Dudson from the cap we started with this year?

they're gone, not to say there's not been some pay offs involved, so i doubt all their salarys are available.

| What an odd episode. I didn't think we should have re-signed him, but cannot imagine it has done the guy's self esteem much good. Unless he has done something odd in the background I'm not aware of.

| Strange signing in the 1st place.
OK Powell wasn't up for grabs when Dwyer was and we did need another 9, but wasn't over impressed because Walker and Dwyer were too similar in style and I'd take the former over the latter.
Powell offers something different.
Dwyer could have still done a good job for us - and will do for Leigh I'm sure - but this is good gor all concerned I feel.

| Warrington have been pushing for a permanent move since he first went on loan, but Leigh declined. They asked if he could play in the CC this weekend but we said 'NO' so he wasn't cup tied, knowing it would force there hand.

Dudson going on loan means he is 100% off cap regardless of what Salford are paying him. Kasiano was a medical retirement right? So he would be 100% off cap too. Given Leigh have signed him on a permanent basis I’d be surprised if a payout was involved - maybe Abe can confirm?
We’ve had Max Wood come in of course and the new prop from Bradford (though he may well be outside the top 25 paid players - so excluded from the cap.

| Clearly cap room available and I think we’re definitely signing Payne Haas*
* Just for the benefit of Saddened who will put those words into the mouth of a fictitious ‘dad at junior rugby’ on Redvee to show that all Wire fans are convinced we’ve signed the Brisbane powerhouse.

Had to Google that name.
Originally I thought it was a clever play of words by you and it was referring to Saddened as a Pain in the Ass.

We have not only signed him but there was a signing on fee, he has paid us £200,000 so he could come and play for us. No salary cap implications as we aren’t paying him one.

| If we'd have had an injury to Walker & Powell I reckon Dwyer would have fitted in well. But a bit of a luxury having three such hookers on the cap. Hopefully we will be bringing in another prop ... the more the merrier for me as there is always someone banned, injured or deserving of a rest.

| We need to sign some props. It's not about injury, or Ban, we just haven't got 4 top drawer prop forwards.
We need to replace Philbin for starters. His impact has declined and his work rate is not enough to justify the position. e.g) Bullock is seen as below him in the pecking order yet made 110m against Leeds in 12 carries, with 20 tackles with an AG of 9.
