If we hadn't appealed stupidly Holmes would be playing this week! J Clark deserves a starting spot over Hughes he was brilliant last week.

Agree with you but you just know Hughes will go straight into 2nd row, so now we are without are best 2 forward strike players.

Clark and Davis just don’t feel like ‘edge’ players to me so although Hughes will play mostly in the middle this year I expect he’ll slot back into second row for this one. Clark at 13 with Davis on the bench. Butler may cover a prop position from the bench.

You're probably right unfortunately. I really don't like Hughes in 2nd row. Davis may come on at 2nd row he has looked good in the 2 games so far.

Reported as a 'minor injury'. He went off in the second half last week and didn't return.



The last comment I saw from Powell (a few weeks ago) said that he would not be available before round 5 or 6, but that it was too early to be sure.

Hopefully nothing to serious for Currie! Fingers crossed him & Holmes are both back in for Catalans/Saints.

Does this mean all our players are vaccinated? If so, at least we know we'll have a full squad when we go to Catalans in May.

I believe a few weeks ago we were just waiting for a couple of the younger squad members to get their second shot. So in a good position in that regard.

Hughes back in the second row looks a possibility. Problem is I just don't want him anywhere near our attacking structures. Pretty much every attacking move grinds to an abrupt halt when the ball gets to him.

I am always concerned when Currie gets any kind of knock, probably irrationally so, but with his injury history it's a worry especially now we are seeing him pretty much back to this best. Hopefully it's nothing.

He’s had a knee issue for a long time. Occasionally it must play up.
More precautionary. We don’t need him vs TO, so best call is to rest him up. He’s been one of our best 2 forwards. Wrap him in cotton wool.

According to the WG 30 min ago Currie has a sturnum injury. He played through it against Cas but it needs more time. Should be ok for Catalan. Magoulias and Wrench are both about 5 or 6 weeks off, so not before round 7 (Hull KR).
