| Don’t worry he will just be another battering ram winger up the middle
He also has to displace one of two of the best wingers in the league which have recently signed new contracts
And then Steve Price’s equivalent of Matty Russell in the shape of his love child who can’t catch a cold...Mr Mamo
Got Taylor what’s his face experiment written all over this
More of a reserves signing for me & then see what happens

| Listened to some of the commentary on Radio Manchester and he certainly sounded impressive. During the conversations after the game it was suggested that if he bulked up a bit he could play centre retaining most of his agility, elusiveness and speed which would suite us.

| Mamo looks to be trying too hard when on the bench. Seemingly making few errors while deputising for Lineham, Charnley and Ratchford.

| Mamo is useful cover, it's unfair to liken him to Matty Russell who was a starter and wasnt anywhere near as good.

100% agreed. We can’t expect players brought in and paid to be squad players, to be as good as their first 17 counterparts. Mamo is good full back and wing cover for us, I hope Ashton can come in and threaten the current backline, from what I’m told he’s got more in his game than an out and out winger. Full back been mentioned.

| I agree Mamo is excellent in terms of what he can cover. Makes a few mistakes but 100% committed and got pace to burn. He’s not Ratchford, Charnley or Lineham but who is available who matches their ability and would sit on the bench for the same salary. Mamo offers more than Swift, or other equivalent back-ups.

I only made the comparison as both are liabilities, especially under the high ball but seemingly can't do any wrong in the their respective coaches eyes

I respect your opinion.
When you catch a high bomb, that area of play is highlighted, I think he has probably dropped no more than 5 that have led to a knock on against us this season and had a couple go behind...it probably feels more because of the spotlight.
I think you're as blinkered on your opinion of Mamo as you say are the coaches.

Its an observation from every match I have seen him play, not a blinkered opinion
For every good thing he does, he does 3 bad things
Accident waiting to happen especially when he covers at FB

| When we signed Mamo, did anyone think he was going to be first name on the team sheet?
He can cover all three-quarter positions and full back. There are top teams with much weaker cover in those positions. He is fine.

No but the talk was he was looking at a centre spot, which he had been playing at the early part of the season, when he deputized for ratch he looked like he was going to drop every single high ball, his technique is very very poor.

It makes you wonder how he played at FB for the Giants for that amount of time. Spoke to one of the directors of Swinton at Wembley in the boxpark, he said there may be a chance Ashton may go back to them on loan.
