| Well ,Saints should know what they are talking about. They are experts in offside ,not square & forward passes.

| Small town mentality, I hope the RFL come back and point out a few of their discretions that went unpunished.
Easier to blame the ref than face the fact that your big name players bottled it, your coach messed up tactics and team selection ...... and you lost.

| Brilliant. The list of excuses is amazing so far - ranging from Hicks only talking to Hill before the match and not Roby and the pitch being watered at half time causing Coote to slip and miss the conversion. Every club has it's fair share of daft, one-eyed fans but by god they've got the most by a long way. Feel sorry for their decent fans who seem to be in a huge minority. Holbrook was interviewed at half time at said forget about the no try and just that they need to be better...soon changed his tune. After they beat us at the HJ first time Price never mentioned the world's biggest forward pass which changed the game. Holbrook on the other hand cried about Sita. An embarrassingly bitter club. LOVED beating them.

| Well, that's 'unfortunate'.
If they wish to query the decisions and officiating they are well within their rights to do so. But they should have kept this between themselves and the RFL. As it now stands it simply makes the club look like poor losers. Are they looking to shift the blame and embarrassment away from the club and coach ?
As Ninearches pointed out, when we played them at home their defensive line was permanently offside at the ptb and they got away with a try from a forward pass that was so blatant it looked more like a game of basketball than rugby. I don't remember Saints querying that pass, I guess they must have approached the RFL but asked for it to remain confidential.

| This is hilarious. I did not see them crying about the officiating in June after that blatant forward pass to score that change the flow of the game against us. Not sour grapes, my .

I also don't remember Justin Hubcap offering Salford the two points after they won from a blatant double-movement in the last minute earlier in the season.

| I don't think Holbrook and the players will thank the club for this, it just drags the pain out longer.
The more they bleat about it the less focussed the players will be for the remainder of the league and playoffs and their season may well fizzle out in glorius underachievement again.
Here's hoping.

I'd be amazed if Gammon chops Justin wasn't behind it. He is worried about being packed off to the Gold Coast early and having to subject his skin to a whole Australian summer.

| When are the RFL arranging a replayed game, after this miscarriage of justice?
Not a bad idea, as it might put some more money in the RFL's coffers

'"
Which is what they have done - see the quote in the articleA club spokesman said
The article is just the journalists speculating: "however, it is understood that....", which seeing as clubs are allowed to ask the RFL about officials' decisions in every Super League game too seems like a bit of a non-story. It's obvious they were going to ask that question behind closed doors. If they wanted to make a big thing of it, then when the St Helens Star came contacting them they should have blasted the officials in the press.
There's a long thread on this forum at the moment about Wire fans saying the officiating isn't good enough so we shouldn't be surprised if Saints felt the same. They got on the wrong end of being ripped off on Saturday and they won't be happy, just like we wouldn't if it had gone against us. But they aren't trying to use this as an excuse....the St Helens Star is just trying to stir things up.

| How would the late, great Frankie Howerd have put it?
"Oh, no.
No, don't.
Ohhh, it's wicked to mock the afflicted. Ohhh"
They complain about constant offsides at the PTB!!!
Oh the irony.
I've not seen greyhounds as quick, when we were penned down in our own 10m zone, when they were putting pressure on us.
Correct me f I'm wrong, but i don't recall us putting an official complaint regarding the same official, for last year's GF, when Ratboy should've seen red.
