I'm not a fan , but there are definitely worse refs, what are everyone's thoughts

Dreadful referee, no relationship with the players he will have already pickedwho he's going to favour and will allow catalan to slow the play the ball and lie all over us. Think its diminished our chances of winning considerably.

I try not to laugh but do find it funny that many fans constantly complain about all the bad refs yet I've very rarely seen anyone say who the good refs are. So maybe there aren't any..... So that means the bad refs are the norm, and therefore a bad ref is to be expected. Is 'truly dreadful' worse than 'bad'?

They all take themselves so terribly seriously though, don't they? Stood behind the posts, sweating like a butcher at a vegan dinner party, hyperventilating into their microphone and hitching their pants up like a pound bakery regular at lunch time.

At least John Holdsworth knew he was a portly figure of fun, and played up to it in wonderfully shakesperian style. He was the Sir Alec Guinness of the whistle.

I'm with you SAM and he doesn't strike me as a 'celebrity ref' type who thinks that the game is all about him.

I reckon everyone ought to have a go at reffing ... especially Eddie Hemmings. There would be a bit more sympathy & understanding. It's quite a job. They need all the help they can get.
