I honestly don't think Westwood will get anywhere near unless we have injuries. As for Smith not good enough for me, we got shot of better in Dwyer.

Have to disagree with you... we looked much better last year when Smith came into the team - his distribution is far better than Dwyers...or Clarks for that matter although i would love to see him given a chance in his natural half-back position at some point.

I think Philbin &/or George King would be in front of Westwood

I started off firmly wanting BMM to play 13 in a Taumalolo role, but he could pose a great attacking threat out on the right, and finally give us some punch on the right hand hand side at second row, so I'm a little torn. Livett at 13 would go against the 'NRL approach' that I presume Price has come over with of a big 13. I'm probably still favouring BMM at 13, as he could always take up position on the right (or left) during an attacking play.

I'd prefer Russell over Lineham but appreciate I'm in the minority there.

Personally

Ratchford
Russell
Goodwin
Atkins
M Brown / Lineham
Brown
Roberts
Hill
Clark
Cooper
Currie
Hughes
BMM

New Hooker Please
Crosby
Sita
Livett

If BMM is to play second row I'd move livett to the bench and Hughes to start.

We must keep Hughes away from the 17 if we want our right edge to be successful in attack.... his line running is awful!!!

I'd like a new forward. Hill's form has dropped off a cliff. Cooper was poor last year. Crosby is an unknown. Philbin has promise, not convinced about King.

Not sure Hill, Currie and Brown will be available at the start of the season, after being involved in the World Cup. And no Patton, does he not get a start against Leeds!?

Is there any news on Toby King and does anyone think he's in with a chance of forcing his way in apart from injuries? I quite liked the look of him when he first burst through but our signings must have pushed him down the pecking order?

Whoever called for Hughes to be in with a shout of our first choice 17 is way off for me. Yes there might be a clean slate, but, for whatever reason on last season's form Hughes needs a break from being first pick. He needs to sort himself out and try and win his shirt back

Exactly he needs to prove he has the form to regain the shirt.
Crosby needs to prove he is worth a place also.

Well, Russell confirmed in the number 5 shirt and Hughes at 12 in the squad numbers for 2018.

I guess it’s clean slate time indeed and the chance for them to show Price they can be better than what we’ve seen.

The number 24 shirt is still vacant and I wouldn’t be too surprised to see either Pomeroy or another power forward there early in the season. There is almost certainly some cap space available and my guess is that Price is gauging the squad early season and seeing who he’ll be keeping for the following season. Any weak areas can then be shored up by recruiting in-season with the cap space we have. I think we’ll see a hard running forward and a winger if Russell or Mitch Brown don’t solve our left wing issues (I don’t expect to see Russell on the right outside Goodwin for this season). I hope Lineham can get motivated and sharpen up so we can see his real talent. He’s got one more year to reflect his trabsfer fee value.

Squad numbers suggest BMM will indeed play 13 - although that's not always a reliable gauge.

Still hoping No. 24 has been reserved for a deputy to Clark.
