Ratchford was fine last night, half backs are never going to stand out if set completion is so poor. He set up 2 tries and looked to have a decent kicking game. We need to be far better with our completion rate.

| Jack Hughes needs to start a game from the bench I think.
He was very poor yesterday.... I'd reward Benjamin Julien for injecting some go forward into a piddle poor back row.
no room in this squad for people getting complacent and expecting their name in the same spot on the team sheet week in week out....
we've a strong-ish squad we should use it...

| After Atkins being put on report do you think he will be available?

| No need to panic with team selection ,providing a goal kicker is nominated on Monday morning & is given plenty of practice. Danny Brough won't have any problems next week & we need to be on the ball with kicks since our best attacking asset is injured.

| Maybe I shouldn't predict as no one seemed to know about Coxs' injury

| Looking at the apparent difficulty TS has with putting a goal kicker in place it makes you wonder if the likes of Ratchford & Gidley are playing with injuries that we don't know about. We could even have quite a few injured players turning out & doing the best they can only to be criticised on this forum for being "not up to scratch".

I really like Jullien as a player; uncompromising, tough and aggressive. I would certainly select him without hesitation.

As you say nine Gidley is carrying an injury so why isn't Ratchford kicking goals if both players who are the main creators are carrying knocks the team can't carry both, if so I don't understand why Patton is not in the frame unless god forbid he's also carrying one, Smith will chance other changes/goal kickers but not put in a like player for player.
Smith is playing the hand he's been dealt with regards to injuries I just feel he shuffles the team a little too much.

| I think having 3 or more kickers tells me TS thinks GK are a concern he cares little about. Whereas KC's higher regard for them won the Pikes the game.

I don't think Ryan's tackle was deliberate or calculated. The tackle wasn't completed and the man wasn't on the floor (will check again). I don't think he's that sort of player.
I'd be disappointed if he gets a ban or fine.

I've got to agree fez on all fronts and despite the comedy villain booing from the west when the replay was shown

| I'll put my faith in a GF and 3 x CC winning coach, so I wont put my preferred XVII down.
I'm also assuming that he will also address the goal/place kicking issue, after all, that's his job, and he knows a lot more about RL than internet posters. Come to think of it, so does Agar.

| A stronger bench needed, we had 2 backs and 2 kids on it v Saints. When are Bailey and BEvans fit?

For me the Friday loss was more frustration than anything because of other options/choices that were available having said that Fridays team had enough personnel to win, so put it down to an off night that's the nature of sport, as you say it's best left to Smith and Agar so far they are going very well, though there are a few disruptive injuries they still have options, things could be a lot worse.
