| Thought Gaz was a waste of a starting shirt today, created very little and his fair share of errors. I really wanted him to succeed at Wire but think his days may be numbered.

| There were bigger wastes of a starting jersey today than GOB. At least the guy tries, for better or for worse we actually see him doing things. Patton would not have made the slightest difference today.

| I don't particularly like singling out individuals for criticism, and others were just as bad today, but his kick-offs were so short that Rovers were running the ball back and playing the ball between their 30-40m line each time and his in-play kicks were dreadful. Then he just wasn't a threat with ball in hand.

I like they high kick, but that is the issue, if you do it, you need kick it high enough for the opposition to have something to think about.
GOB just kicks it straight to the opposition. With kicking like that, he may as well just put the ball down on the floor for them and turn it over with a handshake.

Fantastic kick off resulting in a drop out from which we scored. Didn't try to repeat that again all match, and he had plenty of opportunity!

| Yet Kelly constantly attacked our left edge and time after time they made the same gains.

| He is rank average, in the same way that Wheeler is. Why he was picked today I will never understand. Toomany average players = and average season, which is what we have had. Not good enough.

| With England and asotasi we are effectively playing with one hand tied behind our backs. When they come on we look flat and desperate... We lose the collision, go on the back foot and usually go behind. Other teams have impact forwards. We have bloody awful ones.

I would love to know who decides when to buy players and which one's. Is it mainly SJM or TS ? Who thought England would be a good punt for instance. They had to rebuild his shoulder, then introduce him to SL standard fitness, take out the Championship rough stuff, iron out his one 60 mph drive (after which he was exhausted), try to get him to use his feet, and he still has not made it. That's a lot of extra effort after paying £30k transfer fee. How about Asotasi ? Surely they took advice in Oz about his likely attitude, and didn't the alarm bells ring when he failed to turn up for the World Cup ? Then there was Wheeler, well we don't need to go into that one. But there is a strong theme developing here, someone seems to love a 'bargain'. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the Joel and Sandow bargains because we know exactly what is under the bonnet, but with SJM's dosh do we really need to go for so many 'punts' ?
We were unlucky with Clark (who needs an op), but he is the quality of player we should be aiming for. Also Lineham and Gidley. Yes, even these players can fail to perform and are something of a gamble because of the amount of money we ( sorry Simon, I mean you) have to put up. But at least the odds are far more in our favour at this level. We need to stop visiting the Pound Shop and then wondering why the hell the goods are faulty when we get back home.

Whilst I'd like to think we'd have a decent shot at finishing 4th in super8s ,playing with only 2 effective forwards is going to make it near impossible, Sandow can only do so much

I agree ,I might be wrong but, I think there has been a change of attitude since Draper became CEO and warrington will seek to sign the best players whilst also bringing through the youth ,I hope I'm not being naive or that the half d amateurs at the club don't get to rule the day
