i think warrington fans have got a bit too big for their boots recently, no offence meant but, you have got used to competing in ( and winning in the challenge cup's case) major finals, but every team has transition periods,
a lot of your fans are used to success and can't see the bigger picture when they aren't having trips to wembley or old trafford every year.

the nucleus of your succesful teams were all over 30 and have now retired or moved on

any team would find it hard to replace those players, for me, it's a transition period and you need to have patience, while you build/buy another successful team

Over the last few years Wire have had the luxury of a good amount of experience in the team but over the last couple of seasons that has disappeared & not been replaced for whatever reason. Unfortunately,what we are left with is a gang of young players coming through, with ability, who need to be coached into becoming great players & this is where the coaching staff need to step up to the mark & earn their corn.

This is not just our club that will be affected though & all because of the ridiculous under 19s/straight to superleague idea. Maybe a solution for us would be to take a leaf out of rugby union's book & bring in experienced older players to sort out the various sections of the team,to show the younger lads how to deal with situations on game day.

So far the recruitment for next year looks positive, but as has been mentioned many times we need another quality prop and are desperate for a quality half back. I personally think the squad needs 5 or 6 new first team ready players in total to freshen it up so 3 or 4 to go for me the prop and half back is bare minimum requirement in new players.

We dust ourselves off and back the players we have,, as there is no magic wond, no big check book this is it,, roll sleeves up and see who's up for it,, some true colours will show for sure,,
