| After watching him play today for Bradford and him being linked to the wire would it be a good move. He looked a very good player with a superb kicking game,I think it would be a great move for us

| I've seen him play a few times now and he's a very good and very consistent player. I've always been a fan of him so if we got him I would be happy, but I still have my fingers crossed for Scott dureau Brad Dwyer looked amazing last night so it has softened the blow of losing mickey and hopefully we will get a hot prop for next year. Things are looking good for the future

Steady on Sir A M, you don't know half of what you could be in for posting that on here!
Ball in hand they are the best players in our team.

| I am led to believe that this deal has been done.
Might work out very well.

| From what I can see Gaskell, was on a two year deal that expires this season - so no fee. it seems a bit surprising that other clubs were not in for him, although I have not seen him play very often ?

| Once Bradford was relegated all contracts were null and void Gaskell signed a new 2 year deal so has till end next season unless there is a stipulation in his contract

| he seems a decent player when he was at Saints, I haven't seen him play at Bradford. I don't understand why we would sign another back now Kurt Gidley has signed for next year.

I would imagine that, unfortunately as I wanted him to succeed as he is a local lad, Gaz O'Brien will be involved in any kind of deal.

| Would be a good signing for you guys IMO. He is far too good for the championship, and a lower SL team.
He looked to have great potential at Saints, but then was shunted out there, got messed about at Salford being played out of position. Even when he came here, Franny Cummins played him at full back (which he is never one in a million years) and his confidence became completely shot.
Jimmy came in and made him our 6 and played the team around him, and he started bossing games, particularly in our wins against Wigan, Hull & Leeds (so i ahev no doubt he can do it for a top SL club). Think he signed again with us as he was enjoying his rugby again.
He is a great talent, it just needed a coach to treat him right and play him in his correct position week in/week out. Think Tony Smith will continue to get the best out of him. Build the team around him, and he will flourish for you guys.
Gutted to see him go, but not surprised (If of course it is true, which is looking like it is)

| Gaskell and Wheeler both going for the same position and both loosing out in preference for a hooker or a back rower to play 6.
