| ...at the HJ KO 11 am. If anyone can get in for some or part of this game I am sure the players would appreciate it.
The team have greatly improved their performances and have now won the last four games with some exciting attacking football. Hopefully they can continue this and inspire the senior squad to follow!

| I will be there as usual. Tough game in prospect, and I think the hardest remaining game of phase 1.

| Saints have lost only one game this season... against Leeds away, 36-16. Should be an interesting test and Warrington also have a fully fit squad to select from.
Hope with the KO time being closer the the first teams game the U19s will have a few more supporting in the Stands.

| We won a close game I believe?
Did anyone watch it? Anyone on the Saints side with any first team hopes this year or next?

| Strange game, Warrington started very badly and Saints scored 18 points without reply with some weak home defence but after some substitutions dominated the game from that point in and would have won if conversions had been kicked.
The PTB was an absolute mess with the referee allowing the Saints player to lie all over the ruck for an absolute age.
Positives for Wire were the fact that five first year players played whilst Saints only played one and their team was packed with players at the upper age range. Warrington also dealt well with the late call for Toby King into the first team.
I would be confident of Warrington winning a return fixture.
Pick of the players for me was Sam Wilde who dragged the team up with some strong running.
FT 20-22

Was it not 3 first year players? Eaves, Weldon and Leeds. Can't say I've seen the latter 2 names so presume they're first years, unless they've been signed from elsewhere.

| Not 100% sure but that was mentioned after the match. It does seem to make a difference if a team is loaded with players in their third year.

| Think we only had around 4 third years playing too. Hewitt, McAuley, Ryan, Fleming. Then 10 second years if what i've said so far is correct. Either way, a good result against one of the better teams at that age.

| This was a game the U19's should really have won. Their start to the match can best be described as tepid, whereas Saints came out of the blocks quick and hard. Within 20 minutes they had scored three converted tries and Wire were always playing catch up from that point. I think they will be very disappointed to lose those two points.
I thought some of the forwards looked somewhat jaded (Philbin, Murray), I don't know if that was a reaction to last weeks game at Leeds perhaps ? Sam Wilde also seemed to have caught the malaise during the first half, but was outstanding in the second and continually made good ground with his quick feet wrong-footing the Saints defence. Leeds signing Morgan Smith (SO) seemed very quiet. In contrast his half back partner Brad Stanway just got stronger as the game progressed. By the second half he seemed to be at the heart of most of our attacking plays, confidently moving the ball around and causing all sorts of problems. I think I will nominate him as my MOM.

| The way the team started from kicking the ball out on the full until the substitutions across the front row saw some weak defence and the team struggling to make metres with the ball.
Like you say I think they will be disappointed as it was a game they probably should have won.

| Was a decent game yesterday but it was a slow start that cost us the win ultimately, there was some poor defending early doors through the centre and saints came out of the traps really quickly and put us on the back foot.
As we grew into the game we looked better and better and the usual suspects got us back in the game and scored the tries, harvey livett was quiet in general but scored a try and it was a good team move that found Jack johnson to go over under the sticks, thought brad stanway had another decent game but thought Morgan smith was quiet again but did look not to be fully fit!
Overall it's a game we dominated and should have won and a couple of more sets I m sure we would have scored again but just come up short with a decent performance
Next match we have to turn our good play into a win against hull fc in a couple of weeks!!

| There was certainly no disappointment in the dressing room after the game; we had a poor opening twenty minutes that ultimately proved to be the difference but at this level you are looking at how players react and they certainly played in a very positive manner for the last sixty minutes. Pat Moran when he came on really did make some massive in roads in the Saints defence, a fact that was clearly noticed by his fellow teammates when I got their views straight after the game.
We will lose some games that we should win and win some that we don't deserve to, it is all part of a learning curve for the youngsters.
I will put the match report and Lee Briers comments on here a little later.

| To be honest the first twenty minutes was out of keeping with the defensive efforts in previous weeks and was surprising to see.
The rest of the game was rather more typical of the performances set over the last month.
