| I'm having a hard time choosing who makes my 17 for our opener, but there's a few nice headaches. Looks like we'll have everyone apart from Grix and Harrison (injured rib cartledge today), Matty Russell might be a doubt because he took another hit to the teeth today. Who's in and who's out for you? Bridge was clearly not fit today and definitely wouldn't have played if it was his big day.
Main dilemmas for me:
Has Penny earned a spot?
Stick with O' Brien and Myler in the halves/Ratch or Russell at full back?
1. Ratchford
2. R Evans
3. Monaghan
4. Atkins
5. Penny
6. O' Brien
7. Myler
8. Hill
9. Clark
10. Sims
11. Laithwaite
12. Westwood
13. Currie
14. Higham
15. Asotasi
16. England
17. B Evans

| Recently I've changed my mind about our starting 17 more times than Mrs FB changes our Living room curtains.
I'm now firmly in the GOB at 6 & Richie at 7 Brigade. Ben Evans looked good today so he should get a bench spot.

This could be it or we might take in a back sub. instead of three props. If so Wheeler. In fact I think we don't need three props ... so let's go for Wheeler and leave Evans out.

This will be it I think but would take Asotasi out and put Wheeler/Bridge in.

| My guess is Salford will line up something like this;
Locke
Evalds
Walton
MCB
Johnson
Chase
Fages
Tasi
Lee
Taylor
Hansen
Hauraki
Hock
Subs
Patterson
Hood
Puletua
Morley
Not sure how fit Dobson, Sau, BJB, & Josh Griffin are so not included them.

| O'Brien keeps getting pushed back but time and again he shows through his performances just what he can do. This lad has real backbone.

I thought he was excellent yesterday in both attack and defence. Him and Myler together looked really good.

| There were a few instances of Myler supporting Clark's breaks as a few on here hoped would happen.

I was one of those hoping for this. Myler flourishes alongside a creative player a la Briers. I hope to see more of it this year!
My team for Salford would be the exact team that started v KR.

I think I'd also start with they same 13 given injury concerns for Russell and Harrison. The challenge will be around the 4 bench spaces. Asotasi, England and Evans all did pretty well against Toulouse and Higham will be a certainty. Evans can also cover the back row instead of prop. I would suspect they fill the bench spaces with Wheeler as 18th man. That looks a pretty handy team with Wheeler, Grix, Russel and Harrison to come in.

| I'd be amazed if we have an 'injury crisis' this year, put it that way!

| Interesting VW.
Only last month Wheeler was all of our injury wows.
There were plenty on here giving their tuppence worth of him being a perpetual crock and throw in the over rated big risk to boot!

I think that's a bit lob sided, as I recall most of the perpetual crock posts were from Saints fans and most on here were prepared to give him a chance and saw it as low risk in that we are well covered elsewhere and he's not seen as a big signing as far as dependency is concerned, he's not exactly reached saviour status or even required to.
On the other hand, you were possibly a bit OTT heralding his signing as a fantastic piece of business based on his undoubted talent and potential a la the run around Saints gave us early doors last year.
BTW I hope that you are right and we get great service from him, but, just because other Wire posters were a bit more guarded than you well let's wait and see we've not kicked off yet
