| If correct that is very disappointing.
I think around a couple of years ago we had a round 8,000 S/T holders.
To think Stains have 2,400 more holders than we have rankles me.
Can you post the link?

| Not surprised really, with al the tv games scheduled then change of dates later in the season then there is the e-cigs debacle which I believe is putting some off renewing.
Anyone have a figure from last years season ticket sales just to compare?
When you look at the top 5 list it probably matches the order with the top clubs average attendances.

| The Thursday/Friday games will affect the season tickets.
Now we'll get the "football have midweek games all over the country, blah blah".
Football isn't marketed as "the family sport" and it has more demand than supply.
If you want to cater for families then night games are not the way forward.

| I'd take our figure with a pinch of salt, there's been no official announcement on our season ticket sales.

| I stopped buying a ST when I could count all our sl home games on a Sunday on one hand without my thumb.
Some seasons we have gone 3-4 months without a Sunday home game!
Unfortunately putting out an outlay and only being able to commit to half of the games doesn't make any sense to me.

From what I can find the figures were posted on a site called www.runningrugby.com you need to register to view the full article with the figures but it's free to do so.
runningrugby.com/tickets-databas ... ket-sales/
It states "The numbers are based on reports from clubs and where clubs have not co-operated an educated estimate has been made based on the views of those in the industry, sales in previous seasons and patterns in relation to average attendances."

Thanks for the link Lister, so if the figures are accurate we are currently down 500 on last seasons sales, again I am not surprised. Only Saints and Cas are showing an increase which would be expected following their successes last year. On a club level I suppose the most concerning sales figure is for Salford. It is a worrying trend for the game in general something the RFL and the clubs should be looking at.

| Non Sunday games. Sterile game. Cost. Playoff system/lack of league position importance. Poor RFL and club marketing - all taking their toll in my opinion.

| The Super League is comparable with the 3rd tier of football in average attendance at 8,153. With Wire's closest football club in terms of attendance being Preston North End down from our dizzying heights of Barnsley in 2011.

The playoff system has changed and there are no easy games this season.

| Bradford and Keighley used to market their squad well and that resulted in good gates, that should have been the eye opener to everyone that marketing works.
Then Keighley were poo'd on, Bradford mismanaged the accounts and both are back to square one. We have an owner who made his millions in promoting YET?
The RFL and the clubs need to pull their fingers out and sell the game, the build it and they will come attitude doesn't work.

| I would have assumed that clubs do not get around to posting any season ticket sales to the media until immediately prior to kick off TBH as some fans presumably, for whatever reasons, could buy the day before the first S.L. match is played. Secondly one person's 'educated' guess could be quite different from another's. FWIW, the HKR CEO, for example, was replying to a question at a televised fans forum during last week and stated he was confident that WHEN the number is known he was confident the club would be posting an increase in sales for the second consecutive season, albeit a small increase, despite a disappointing 2014 campaign. I would expect most clubs would issue a statement regarding season tickets, unless they were majorly disappointed with sales at some point early in the season.
